I like to work from home but I do notice myself being overworked sometimes, but I also do enjoy it. maybe one day I will try out an office. also good luck brian
from home is much better for me. Yes it does get you distracted a little bit. But the key is to find a place that you can effectively work at home. Maybe build an make shift office in the back yard or garage or basement. Or the attic or walk in closet. Something that is away from your house life to help you get to work. Also take the extra money you save from office rental and commuting and time spent dealing with the office crap and take a vacation. It will help remind you of why you started to work from home in the first place. Freedom. With an office you are tied down and forced to work no matter what so be able to free yourself from your work every month and take a weekend getaway with your savings. To get relaxed and refreshed. Plus the tax savings it's a no brainer for me. At least that's what I do

In all honesty, it's better to start at home. From home, it's a small venture, and the money you save from not taking the office space can be used to invest better into the business. Then i'd say upon expansion (growth) of the business, consider getting office space to keep a hectic schedule away from home life.
I prefer working at home. However, I do have to agree, when working at home you tend to overwork yourself.
Yes work and social life should be private. what if you tired with your work and you are at home. you will have no option for recreation and home and family is ever best recreation. I strongly recommend to have private office for work as man looks good out side home for work.
Thanks buddy. It is in its very early stages yet, and I really don't want to say too much about it until it gets established. It is in a very niche area, and I am confident nothing like this has been done before. The hardest part is trying to convince others it is a good idea!! I wouldn't sign a lease though until you have a steady stream of income. Get involved with several networking groups that meet in the morning - that will both get up up and out early and also help you build the business. Then, go work for a few hours from a coffee shop rather than going home. You have to have discipline to run your own business. It's MUCH longer hours and MUCH harder work.
