For me PR is most important. Alexa ranking just collect data based on those with alexa tool and i believe most of the internet user do not use alexa tool
Nothing. Those are mere stats. Nothing else. I should just take my time on satisfying my visitors rather than pleasing Google or Alexa.
I personally don't think PR is really important, it's not an accurate guide of importance. you could have 1000 sites giving it a PR of 5, links of which are some related and some not, while having a site with 100 back links that is related that could be only a PR4-5... Focus on the related links, not PR.
Has Alexa said they only count traffic if you are using an Alexa tool? Or do people just think that? thanks
It's true. Alexa tracks the traffic through people using the Alexa tool. But they also track using other traffic sources to some extent. But traffic is mainly derived from the toolbar.
PR. Alexa doesnt affect anything, just a number which makes you feel good (or to demand higher advertising prices)
To get the more traffic possible, the most important is your search engine ranking position...the goal is to stay in the first page, preferably in the first 5 positions, of the searches for your keywords.
It is not worth spending too much time watching PR or Alexa ranking. Both are inaccurate and do not provide much insight into the true power of a site. They are only good for bragging rights or possibly for helping sell advertisements. As others have said, concentrate more on search engine rankings, traffic and revenue. That is what actually matters.
They are both important in their own way. Alexa shows the traffic you get to your site so it can help advertisers know how much to spend for a link in your site, and pr is how authoritative your site But you shouldn't focus too much on them. If you focus on your search engine rankings eventually your pr and alexa ranking will go up because you will get more traffic and more back links.
