Hey Webmasters how do you monitor your links, with multiple websites to manage do you have a script which continue to check the links gained.
You do directory sub, article sub, blog posting and other ways, how do you check the links gained from these exercises. I know these help but is there a way to count them and make sure they stay intact specially the links you buy.
Can experienced webmasters please comment ...

    Summarizing

1)How Do You check the link's worth after you acquired it
2)How do you check the links you bought stays and have not been removed
3)After do you directory or article submission how do you gauge its effectiveness.

    Thanks

I never buy links. Doing this can get you taken right off google's search results if someone finds out and you have just told us. Don't worry. I won't report you! More information

There are lots of tools to help you check backlinks. You can find a list of good ones here.

I wrote a custom script to check if link partners are all still linking back. It can be a huge hassle to go check each link manually. Link exchangers often remove links after a trade.

With the same script I could also check other links too.

I use webmaster tools by google, its good not too reliable. new links take a couple of days to register. but i think its important to keep of on-top your links don't want to be giving out any free PR...

I do not use any scripts to monitor my links, I occasionally check out my link: on Google, but that's about it.
