I will sell this domain name: caiunanet.org

    My value is $15k

    Buyer offers $12k

and say that It's a big risk to proceed without professional valuation.

To sell a domain name is it necessary a professional valuation?

Not seeing an development and the name by itself isn't good. The domain isn't even worth reg fee, much less 15k. The buyer is trying to scam you. Or you are just trying to spam the domain here to get it sold. C

Sometimes people use that line if they want to sell you valuation services - they may not be genuine about buying your domain. Don't be surprised if they recommend a particular company to do your valuation for a small fee. Once you've paid for your valuation, they'll move on to the next victim. ;)

Namepros has a great section for getting domains valued and if it's a developed site there's one online valuation tool for established websites that's very accurate. They are both free.

Based on estibot = Reg Fee

    Based on domaintops = 0 $

There are several sites that offer professional, certified domain appraisals. If you are looking for this service then I would recommend the one in my sig. I hope this helps ;)

I have many Portuguese domains, all better than that one and they aren't even worth $50 each...

    Portuguesas.org
    Fresquinhas.com
    Refogado.com
    jejum.net

    and the list goes on...

If the buyer requested you to get an appraisal at certain site of his choice probably it's a scam. Be careful. The domain obviously is not worth 12K though.
