Hi friends, need valueble advises. my site deals downloading games and stuff. it is launched recently. in google SERPs quite alot of sites are there in page 1 and 2. if i put some good keyword does it possible to reach on SERP no.1?
Just using keywords in your title, description and page content will not be enough to get you on the first page for any competitive keyword. There are a lot of factors that goes into determining where your site will rank so nobody can give you everything needed to rank on the first page. Biggest thing is the domain age, newer sites will find it harder to rank on the first page then older sites have have built up authority. Create good content that the viewers will find useful, giving them a reason to link to your site. The more links you have pointing back to your site the better your chances will be. Get to many backlinks to quickly and google may penalize you since the site is still new. There are a lot of other things you can do with a new website, question is how much time do you have to divulge into it, are you building the site yourself where you can edit everything, how much patience do you have...last option for quick traffic would be a PPC campaign, that is if you have the extra money to spend to get traffic to the site quickly.
Only key word no use .. do some SEO works and with one or 2 page very diff try to improve your site with rich content

Your main focus should be adding more backlinks and adding unique content to your website. With limited seo knowledge, it would be quite difficult to attain the rankings that you want. To do well with seo, you really should read as much as you can about seo and link building.

Everything is possible but if the competition is too high - it will takes a while. I would suggest you to start with some less competitive keyword and see if you will be able to get into top 3.

Adding keyword in title and content is not SEO. For ranking # 1, you have to apply all strategies of SEO that we all are doing. Add keywords properly not just stuff with nonsense manner. In content also try to place keyword in some meaningful sentences. Get some high quality backlinks, do some social bookmarking. Submit your site in social sites. Be an active member of some good forums like DP and add your site link in signature. Write some good quality articles and submit them with link in author biography. By using good keywords for your site, your site will not appear in the SERP. To appear in th SERP, you have to do SEO for your site following your keywords.
