I read that squid pages are not good enough alone because they are NOFOLLOW.

I read that you must link a few together and maybe mix in a hub page?

I have no clue what I am talking about.. I need some help on how to make the most of squid and hub pages.

Can anyone give me a hand?

Squidoo pages are only nofollow when you first launch them. Once they are up for a little while those links turn into dofollow. It does help to get some links to your squidoo pages though. It builds the power of those pages which makes all of your links more beneficial. It will also increase your squidoo lens's rankings to show up higher in their insite searches.

So just string all the sites together and then have ONE site have ONe link to my site? Or can they all have anchor text linking to my site?

when you initially do a lens, it stays under WIP (work in progress) status. during that time the lens is nofollow. however, when you start marketing the lens and the WIP status changes to green check, the lens then becomes dofollow.

hubpages on the other hand nofollow to begin with and you need to have your personal hubscore (not individual hubscore) to be at least 75 for the hub to be dofollow.

Appreciate the honesty :) Let me give you a Great advice. Try to keep squidoo as close to your site as possible as it gives maximum flexibility. Most likely ezine will stay away in this line and hubpages will fall in between. If you are still not clear then feel free to ask me :)

I disagree with you... Squidoo is a do-follow one; hubpages is the no-follow one.

Squidoo is do follow so I would definitely link that to the HubPages at least, and if you meets the reqs hubpages becomes dofollow as well.

I personally don't use Hubpages much, takes too much time to achieve do-follow links. What I would do is:

Make say 3 Squidoo lens on the similar niche and interlink them together
Write 3 more articles and submit them to the top 5 article directories with each article linking to each lens
Do some social bookmarking to all 3 lenses
Submit the lenses to RSS directories and ping them a few times daily
Have a link to the thing you're promoting on all your lenses

You can then funnel traffic from other things such as Hubpages, Facebook etc.

    Good luck!

I don't promote my own lenses anymore, mostly make them for clients now (look at my sig). Here are some of my old lenses

Past 7 days traffic sources for a couple lenses:

Most of these lenses were made in between March and May which still get a bit of organic traffic. If I was to still be bothered to promote these, they would get a couple hundred a week like the old days :p

These lenses still continue to make a couple sales every now and then.

We can surely use Squidoo for getting some quality links for our websites. But All hubs that are created on Hubpages are nofollow. So you cannot expect much from Hubpages

It surprises me that people get so worked up about nofollow websites.

The fact is nofollow websites can and do rank very well in the search engines. Sure they don't pass on the link juice down the line, but if a nofollow website is ranked on page 1 and get lots of traffic, and you have a link from it to your money page, do you care that it's a nofollow?

I don't, and have built up a profitable repeatable way to dominate mini and micro niches like this.

You should definitely in my opinion have nofollow authority websites like hubpages in your strategy, but just in the right position in your network or network of networks.

    Cheers
