Hi i am really new on php programming and its been 72 hours have passed i still cant make my buxto clone work.

This is my domain -> http://dirtydoug.8tt.org/

as you can see it always says "Cannot Connect"

i have reconfigured the config.php included.

    $dhost = "http://www.8tt.org"; //usually localhost, or ip
    $dusername = "dirtydoug_admin"; // database user
    $dpassword = "notshown"; // database pass
    $ddatabase = "dirtydoug_db"; // database name

and nothing happens i have fully understand and follow every single detail.

    1. Upload "buxtoSQL.sql" to your Phpmyadmin client.
    2. Upload the script files to your public_html folder
    3. Edit config.php to your mySQL database details
    4. Edit data.php with your site information

but i really cant make it work, i think its in the host or something, if you people know how to make this work pls. tell me, i am going to open my own site and yet have to practice with this one and i am willing to take any good offer from you after you helped me out but i cant promise that ill buy something from you, ok!? just help me with this one cause i really dont know what to do. :)

Where is your site hosted and have you verified that you can connect to your database using any other test page.
I suspect $dhost = "http://www.8tt.org"; //usually localhost, or ip to be the issue. Usually database host string is not web URL.
Recommend you to read hosting help for setting up & connecting to database. That may give you some help.

    Cheers

Have you tried setting it to localhost ($dhost)? MySQL may only be setup to take connections from 127.0.0.1 (loopback) but if you put your 8tt.org, it'll be going over eth0 and may be unable to connect.

    Please try:
    $dhost = 'localhost';

Do as Jay said : the localhost thing and please go to your phpMyAdmin and see the left menu and see if it contain these :

If yes, then your $ddatabase should be :
    $ddatabase = "yourwebsite_yourdb1"
    PHP:
just take another look at these places i mentioned.
    good luck

Think of it as outgoing an IP. When you use localhost, your IP is actually 127.0.0.1. When you use your domain, it's whatever your server IP is (public), like 123.456.789.012. MySQL (for security reasons), will only accept connections from the IP 127.0.0.1, as it can't be from anywhere except the server itself.

    Hope that helps,

    Jay
