    Hello,

I'm looking to hire a web programmer for one job and possibly more jobs for a large project in the near future. Because of the nature of this project I am going to be kind of strict in the process of finding a suitable candidate (for long time work).

    The Script
I don't really know too much about this sort of thing but here's my best descripition of what I want.

What I want is a (PHP?) script that you can order a service "admin" (with settings) off a website. The order gets processed and paid for on paypal. Upon return to the website the "admin" purchase gets put into a database with some additional settings. (This part might be Perl and require a cron job?) I need the information stored in the database pulled from and sent to a game server or several game servers in the form of a script. (This should occur hourly to ensure that if a subscription is created or runs out it adds the information to the server.

If you have any questions about the script please ask.

    Programmer Knowledge
    • A very good understanding of PHP, JS and MySQL is a must.
    • Perl (May be required for the first script), ASP, xHTML, AJAX, Java, CSS, XML, AS, and any other language is a plus.
    • Comprehension of Game Server programming and mod scripting/plugins a plus.
    • Comprehension of C++ and compatibility with a program may be required.

    Programmer Qualities:
    • Speak fluent English and be open to communication.
    • Complete tasks on time and provide updates and progress reports.
    • Work well with others either programmers or other project team members.
    • Enjoy online video games with others (especially of the FPS genre).
    • Be willing to offer feedback and input of ideas on all aspects of the project.

    Payment
I don't really have a price in mind. Well I do, but I don't know if its accurate. Post your bid on a project like this. Based on your work on this project you may be eligible for future work and future payment plans.

Just an edit, I don't need a web programmer who understands C++ (I have a progmrammer developing an anti-cheat client for a gaming ladder we will be doing. What I meant is I might want the client hooked up to the web sometime in the future and you might be working with the other programmer to accomplish the task.) That is of course if you become long term.

So are you selling admin rights on your game server, user pays with paypal, sends data back to the database when payment is processed, creates a game server config file with the new admin, and then uploads this file regularly to make sure latest admin is updated?

Interesting project. It can probably all be done in PHP. You might need to use FTP or something similar to send the final config file. I'm not sure that game servers have PHP installed? I can do this though. I'd like to hear a bit more, so feel free to get in touch via PM or through my portfolio (sig).

Nope, you made a good post listing all the information regarding your project. Something which other people do not do and just assume we can read their minds. :p

    Ah well thats good then.

I'm currently in the process of picking a programmer. I've answered all PMs thus far. I apologize for the delay, but I am not only looking for a programmer for this script, but a programmer for long term use and of course, being that there is a "niche" set out, I'm looking for someone with interests that relate to that niche.

If you want to speed things up, message me on AIM or MSN. If you don't have my info, PM me for it.
