Obama & McCain heckled. That is poor control by the States Secret Service

Protesters should not be allowed to attend the rallies.

I don't get how the crowd in certain areas are allowed to heckle Obama and McCain. That is poor planning, control, and protection on the part of secret service and the local police. These two men should be protected from the nut jobs. These youtube videos piss me off with the slack protection by the secret service and the disrespect to McCain and Obama.

When we planned Obama's rally we made sure that no Hilliary buttons were close to the camera section. No signs were allowed due to the fact it blocked our vision when looking through the scopes while scanning the crowd. I see the videos on youtube and there are signs everywhere. I am like WTF. What about Obama and McCain's safety? We allowed no cameras, video camera's, purses, backpacks, umbrella's, signs or any weapons. Anyone that heckled Obama was removed immediately to an auditorium that had closed circuit feeds. They were not arrested but we could not take a chance of Obama getting hurt or the heckler getting hurt. The pro hilliary and anti Obama crowd could either view from the closed circuit auditorium or protest in a parking lot from about 1 mile away. Obama waved to them when he left. The safety of Obama and McCain appear to be very slack at the present time.

Protesters should not be allowed to attend the rallies.

Huh? This is America. What's wrong with protesters? The Secret Service is there to protect them from harm (ie getting shot) not from hecklers.

It's disrespectful. It's fine to protest Obama and McCain but it should be out of harms way. Imagine if the crowd at the Obama crowd became agitated enough to rush the heckler. The secret service and the local police could not stop the mayhem. The signs have no place at the rallies.

Nothing wrong with protesters if they are respectful to the other person but what gives them the right to yell over someone else, its very disrespectful.

If there were respectable candidates, maybe they wouldn't be heckled?

There are some people who are too stupid to understand the meaning of the Constitution. Luckily for them it even protects their rights to speak no matter how ridiculous or absurd their speech may be.

Who would dare think of protesting a political candidate in this country. If you don't like the candidates you should just leave and find a country where you do like them. Sound about right Homeseobiz?

Perhaps you need to define what you mean by protest. Obviously, they should not be allowed to cause a disturbance, but to the extent they cause no threat they should be allowed to protest. A protest can be as simple as turning your back or wearing a shirt with your thoughts.

I love how you embarrass yourself by claiming you know better that the Secret Service how to protect the safety of the candidates. By the way, their job is not to protect the candidates from being disrespected.

    They hire me.

The Secret Service in SC run smooth rallies compared to other States.

A shirt or turning your back is fine. A disturbance in an energized crowd is dangerous. Think about the anti-abortion crowd mixed in with the pro Obama crowd. That is like throwing gas on a fire.

If you think its fine the way people disrespected Obama and McCain that your prerogative. I think its dangerous and I would hate to see either one harmed.

You can think as you will no matter how twisted it is. :D :D :D :D

Perhaps I misunderstood what you meant when you said protests should not be allowed. I don't think this thread is worth any more of my time.
