    eheh ...

There's no secret Justin... Only hard work my friend ;)

In my case, i built something original, very seo optimized and built a good traffic throught: advertise, advertise, advertise (free advertise, of course).

Hard work... everyday during 1 year and half.

As i always say... Hard Work it's the only secret to reach our goals.

    Edit:
    Just one more thing...

Today i work online fulltime because i sold that blog.
Sometimes we also have to risk something to reach our goals...
But dreaming it's not enought. Miracles happen... but almost everytime after we work hard to build the miracle we want to see happen in our life! ;)

I take the same view that .me has got all the elements in it, which may make it a competent rival to .com. Dot tv was not very successful for the fact that internet tv is in its infancy. Dot mobi didn’t take off either, as less than 5% clients use their mobile devices for surfing on a regular basis. On the contrary dot me is not confined to any technology. Similarly, dot me is entirely different from dot info, as dot info doesn’t give any message apart from that there is some kind of information available. The main strength of .me is that it is brandable. This is the first extension that makes the sites personalised. :)

Having said that, I totally disagree with those who assume that by creating blogs over the .me domains is the key to success. In my humble opinion, such people are entirely mistaken. Blogs do not fetch bucks except in rare cases. Unless big businesses and corporates don’t jump on board, dot me will die down like others. What is needed is a series of great successful business sites on horizon. :)

Apologies if this has already been discussed but this thread is getting a bit long and I may have missed it!

What's the opinion on .me geo domains? Do people think there's any value in regging these if they're still available, especially if all other tlds are taken? I'm thinking in particular of major cities etc.

i think the geo's were discussed early in this thread as being very valuable real estate. i tried to get geo domains to cities i'm familiar with but hey were gone quick.

.INFO was a global alternative to .COM from day one. They released it with cheap prices to lure people in and help establish it. They didn't have to do this with .ME domains - it's not an alternative to anything, it's unique and they knew even at $40 for 2 years it would sell quickly. They also had to negotiate a deal with Montenegro to release the extension globally so that would further explain the slightly higher prices.

 Congratulations! Hope the transaction pans out well for you.

    Through Sedo or similar?

You are right. I think they will get a lot more popular, and with popularity comes demand, with demand comes higher ROI. ;)
Can't wait till the premium auctions kick off next week.

    Cheers

    Thanks friends:)
I only paid under $100 for it.
I bet if i had wait some months i could get $50.000 or maybe much more for it - its a good domain.
But i need the money to buy some good .me domains on the me premium auction and sometimes better do fast buisness so one can buy more;).

I will post all info soon as premium .Me auction is over - because as i say in other post, there is also a very simular .Me domain up for sale at the premium online auction and i hope to get it cheap;)

Mate, that's a nice looking site.. I like the way the text extends when you hover the mouse over it.
    Nice skills.

This is as about as fancy as mine have got http://www.denied.me/

    Have a good weekend :)

    Thanks for your feedback James

With some research and trying, trying, trying you'll need everything you need to develop a great website.

Maybe you'll not believe me James... but 2 and half years ago i didn't know nothing about how to build a website (even in html), register a domain or to maintain an hosting account.
And i learned all by myself... reading, researching online... and reading more ;)

Have a great weekend James ;)

Dotcom is and has always been the blue chip platinum and gold standard, and that may never change, but in my opinion this one appeared on the scene with a real spark of appeal and potential as another option among the tld's. Country codes are also valuable and important. I only registered one .me domain, but was fortunate enough to get a real winner. As far as this one goes, I believe that even if the country behind it were ever to dissolve or change its name, it would probably be preserved in the form of a gtld instead of cctld permanently and never be considered for discontinuation at all.
