Thanks friend, for fixing the URL. Good thoughts indeed... But everyone is starting the website with a big dream..yeah millions or dollars in mind..
but as we know most of the web sites are not even built. they just register the URL and paying like that.

Some good tips there for newbies. You could take this a step further and add another 5 tips they should know once owning a website.

 

Yeah, you should put that link in your sig. Newbies will always click stuff like that since it's asked very often.

Thanks for the 5 things. I read your post and its a great read. I especially like your advice about not having expectations and doing it because you have a passion for it. There are so many websites out there and you really need to have patience in monetizing your site. Its takes time. Its ok to set high goals, but have mini-goals on the way to reaching your main goal. This will keep you on the path to success.

That's some nice info... however, i think it would have been better on a different domain... i mean people will look and think skating and webdesign... not the most common of friends. Then the only other think i didn't really like was the way you forced your affiliate link when you recommend a host... i know it helps to build your downline, but from what i gather, the site is aimed at newbies, and your just trying to suck them into making you money... the contadiction of pick a relevant domain and then placing a helpful tips for starting a website on a skating one, and then placing a block of google ads before the content give the wrong impression to the user. That's my two cents, but the info itself is good quality and highly informative

 

Yeah, I regret picking a skating domain, but thats what I originally thought the website was going to be about. It was too late too change it afterwards as I had generated links and traffic to skateass.com. Regarding the adsense ads. That specific position has proven to be the most effective ctr wise and like we all are, im trying to increase my earnings.
