    hello ;
I have used the adwords traffic estimator for getting an idea about the futur generated adwords traffic , they estimated my traffic on about 500 click .
I have started Advertising in adwords for about 48 hours and I have got only 3 impression :D:D:D . I have increased the cpc to 0,1 $ but no result .

The adwords traffic estimator is waaaay off. The numbers reflect the past average clicks for those keywords.

If your ad sucks you could be getting far less clicks than it says. On the other hand, if you know what your doing you generate way more than the number on the estimates.

The traffic estimator is by no means stating that you will receive that many clicks for your keywords.

    Remember few basics:
    1. Google Adwords Traffic Estimator is not a live traffic estimator. It is the data, you can say historic data, of keywords in the past days, months or year. So it is called as estimator.

    2. Google has various components by which it will select whether your ads has to be displayed or not. Few important components are keyword, cpc and adtext. There are other components that need be achieved by your ppc campaign. They are like a OK quality Score, daily budget, Themed landing page etc. So just don't be in the faith that the moment you increase the cpc you will start getting clicks. And please remember it is a bidding system and not FIFO system. So keep trying till you succeed.

    3. Try to use "Call to action" words in your ads. That will make sure you are atleast qualified for visitors eye (if displayed).

Let me know if this info is a help.

A better way to check future traffic is use the Google keyword tool which now shows the number of searches for a particular keyword in the previous month. A far more accurate number to base your estimations on.

If this is a relatively new campaign it takes a few hours to be approved and go live. However it may be that your chosen key words have very little traffic.

PPC Advertising (Specially Bid Management) is a shear patience game. I have been doing PPC since 2002 on Google Adwords and Yahoo (Overture then). Google Adwords has come out of age to serve the customer with its self service tool like adwords, adsense etc. Remember. Google Adwords works with one of the robust technology but they have made few things manual like ad text approval etc. Never the less.. in 2005 we used to take minimum of 3-4 week for your campaign start performing. But now things can happen in a Weeks or in days. But try to be patience enough to manage adwords acccount. If you are in such a hurry to increase the clicks then keep your cpc low as possible and increase your daily budget to max you can.. and not $10, $25. I hope you got what I mean?

Let me know what you get in return on google adwords.

Their traffic estimator is crap. According to them with my keywords and budget I'd get 7-10 clicks a day. I get more like 70-100.

yeah, you'll never find a tool thats truly accurate but work with what you got, to dominate adwords
you need to be good with landing pages and picking a small number of targeted keywords.

"google Traffic Estimator" is just an estimator from the history data available (to be show) at google. It is not an exact calculator of traffic. So use it only for reference and understand the market trend.

Well the adwords traffic estimator tool shows you the average statistics based on other advertisers history performance.

Maybe you are just not biding enough for a decent position.

For some keywords $1 bid is to low and we don't need to talk about $0.10.

    Lets look it like this!

Google Estimator is not the final tool to develop / research keywords or to understand the keyword bids or traffic. The best method is to do your base level keyword generation using different attributes that you think that can fit for the product and services and start with low cpc and gradually increase the bid to see an increase in the traffic, impressions. Do remember that your "Call to action" at text definitely matter. You can go the long tail route!

Adwords traffic estimator only "Estimates" keywords traffic history. I believe google is reviewing your campaigns if its worth to display or not. you have to focus on placing good ads, bids, set of keywords.

I would recommend the opposite, particularly for new campaigns. Start your max CPC high to establish a solid CTR then slowly lower bids over time.

Very True. It always works when you start with high bid and high budget at the start. Your CTR will definitely increase. I do recommend that. But again for a low budget and at defining CPC, it is very difficult to apply your theory also it requires a frequent management of campaign to make sure we are not overspending.

Your theory works absolutely fine when the budget is a handsome where you can manage to get relevant clicks at low cpc even you spend high at the start of the campaign.
