Hai i am very new to SEO stuff i tried to get backlinks searched directories most of directories give me link to put on my site I want to ask that do i have to create a rough page and put link on that page or i have to put their links on home page of my forum reply please
There are many free directories that don't demand reciprocal links. But you can pay a little amount of money to some quality directories and get guaranteed one-way links to your site.
Check my sig for a list of free directories. You can use the search in my sig to narrow the list to just free general directories or directories in your niche, etc.
I think so... I am not 100% but like someone said above I noticed my google search engine result dropped when I added some links recently making me almost feel like I gave them what little SEO juice my site had. I don't know... You want your links to be as related as possible because IMO google likes that. If you have a link to your site about say Dogs on a Dog site that would be ideal over having a link to your site about Dogs on a Rap Video site for example. I don't think I have had any success using directories, they seem like a huge waste of time and most of the sites listed in them are junk ones about "how to make money online" or "how to rank #1 in google" BS that I consider JUNK...
It doesn't necessarily mean you have to build only one way links. If you don't link to other people's sites, it's likely you'll not be getting enough quality links pointing to your site. However, the number of one way links you get should by a far margin exceed your reciprocal links. On the other hand, you can go for only quality one way links, if you have a little money to spend on link building.
it depends on your niche. Most of the times you can get cheap links from same or related niches, and it will be more helpful for your SERPS than expensive listings in good general directories.
there are many directories out there that don't require reciprocal links, try submitting to the free ones
