Where are you from man. And the reason behind so many Indian DPs is just consider the size of Indian population It is more than a billion man. If you are not from China than you wont know what a billion headcount means. Also software sector is well developed in India.
perfectly put mate ! And many members with big rep bars, huge itrader counts and post counts are from India
Lol... There is no special promotion in India. Frankly speaking, I don't exactly know why there are so many Indians here on DP.
I think it's just something called "CRAZE" and bit of referral too. Well, for instance in my case, I joined DP because one friend of mine referred the site to me and told me he was earning lots from online business and told me to try my luck here. I think its the same everywhere. One friend 'shows off' and tells his friend...the friends starts earning and he tells others or if he wants work done, say typing or content writing, he will ask others......thats how things and news spread..
1 billion + population is right but there are only 60 million internet users... but 60 million internet users is also the 4 largest number of internet users and a lot of those users have some programming skills and the topics here might be of some interest to them.
It didn't use to be as many back in 2005 when I first joined if I remember correctly. Only shows that they're probably getting more advanced in all this IT and SEO stuff...
there are not speaking much in english likes in india and indians are leading than chines people for IT
High exchange, so they get a lot more moneys worth compared to people like Americans, English, and all the other huge economic powers.
One reason, the number of software professionals working on software projects is huge, what in case of bench period (when you are not working on any project), you tend to work on internet based projects in your spare time. Also, most work on Java/J2ee/C# and other high level languages, php is naturaly obivious to most.

I have learnt a multitude of things from DP. Having all this insider information and sharing it is invaluable. From my experiences of working with working with Indians they strive to do everything well. To do that you need the information and methods which are found here, so, Welcome!
