My own site/forums

I just created my own site and forums to go along with it, i'm still decorating the main site but forums are pretty much completed, but thats not why I posted.

The site and forums are about TopGear itself, call it a fan-site if you 'wish'.
Now all I need is to drive unique traffic to my site and get it higher ranked in google/search engines/etc...

would anyone mind to help on how I can get traffic, i'm not after money techiques as of yet, just need the majority of people to look on the forums and get it pretty popular :)..

    many thanks. SYther

    Would you agree with following?
    Small websites.

No traffic = No money = idiot at home = wasting time on net

Link it to as many sites as possible. Also use stumbleupon and dig to make it popular. That will surely help you.

Buy Signature Links in DP....... There are lots of people who are willing to sell theirs at cheap rates.

The BBC's own Top Gear page, at http://www.bbc.co.uk/topgear/ doesn't have a discussion forum. But the BBC America web site does, here. Maybe getting involved here might be a way of driving traffic to your site. Although you'll have to make sure you stick to any forum rules about posting direct links to your site. Sig links may or may not be allowed, for instance.

Me, I still love the story (even if it's not true) about Jeremy Clarkson at a celebrity party. He was asked by a supermodel "So, what do you do?" He replied "I do Top Gear." The supermodel thought that he was trying to sell her drugs... :p

That's fkn awesome. Clarkson is a tosser. But he's also pretty cool for a fat ugly bastard.

@ SYther - put your forum link in your sig, I'm sure there are plenty of Top Gear fans on DP. The Australian Top Gear is launching in about 2 weeks. It will either be great, or embarrassingly bad. Get some threads up about it NOW, there's not much about it on Google yet.
