Hello Firends I come across www.mortgagenewsupdate.com/ who rank on First page with just 3000 back links most of back link are broken, site have PR 3 all site who rank on first page for mortgage keyword except this site have PR 5+ and 40,000+ back link its really Puzzle to me and all SEO i checked site in archive.org till 15 jan 2008 www.mortgagenewsupdate.com/ was blog and now it is just one page site doing affiliate and ranking on top meta keyword have lonly one word that is mortgage, but meta keyword google ignore i am not considering that please post your opening why it is ranking as to rank on mortgage keyword you need minimum PR 5 and at least 40,000+ back link.
It has mortgage in the domain name, title, description, keywords, in a 1/20 ideal ratio, It also lists all american state names so in a US/EN zone serp it will perform very well.
they dont have 3000 back links, just bearly that. They have a lot of site wide links and most of the links is just pure spam any ways, it wont be long before google kicks in and drops them off.
If you talking about rankings on Google then let me tell you this. Google uses approximately 250 elements to decide the rank of a webpage. If link building is one of them then we still have 249 factors that could affect the rankings.
I've has a quick look, all I can see so far is that it's been pretty single-minded in getting 'mortgage' as it's anchor text - lot of forum posts, lot of spammy links...
