Lol, not really but just get a kick out of these posts I find like this. I just got done reading a post by a guy that said he had a client that he has to get a top 10 spot for a new site within 3 months out of 1.8 million results for his keyword.... then asked how to do it lol. Why do people keep falling for these supposed "seo experts"? I hope the guy gets his money back when he realizes the guy he hired can't produce any results lol. He'll probably be lucky if he's even indexed by Google by then. I run a brick and morter business as well and I get calls all of the time from these scam artists promising top 10 results in all 3 search engines within a month, only problem is the site that they are calling about is and has been for the last several years been in the top 10 for it's keywords and I know they found it by doing a search lol. If I play along with these guys and act interested I ask how they get these amazing results, most won't tell you how they intend to do it, I doubt most of them know either lol. The ones that do break down and tell me usually result in building thousands of door way pages, has this done anything other than ban a site for the last several years lol? I think that little trick went out like in 2003. Any of you supposed "seo experts" reading this that promise your clients these things do you have a money back guarantee? I bet not. What do you tell your clients when you can't produce these results? I bet you blame it on their content or some other thing that you say is the clients fault lol. Maybe you even ask for more money to "fix" those imaginary issues too? You know a funny thing that I've noticed though about most of the telemarketing "seo experts" is the fact that most of them seem to have an Indian accent. In fact I think I'm going to go a step further here and say that "seo expert" scams are India's equivilent to the Nigerean email scams that claim to be the president of the bank of zimbabwei and ask for your help to move the money to your bank account lol. No offense Indians, well... maybe a little offense... if you don't know anything about seo and you have to come to the dp forums to ask how to do it DON'T SAY YOU CAN DO IT! You're a scammer plain and simple. And what in the world is with all of these 2 bit no content having spam sites with nothing more than adsense ads that you all think you can get to number 1 in the serps for things like "viagra" and "penis enlargement" lol? Are you all seriously considering a long term career in the viagra and penis enlargement industry? These sites piss me off to no end, and what pisses me off even more than the sites themselves is the fact that you 2 bit morons think you can actually get them to rank in the serps and have the balls to come into the forums and ask how you can get them to rank! For the love of the 8 armed God from Mortal Kombat stop building these 2 bit sites and do something constructive! I even had an Indian tell me once that the reason that all of the programming and telemarketing jobs are going to India is because they're actually better than Americans at it! Are you serious? You really think someone that can not speak understandable English is doing a better job as a telemarketer than an American?!? I think you're supposed to understand the person that is trying to sell you that long distance plan or that insurance for your credit card! And customer service...... really? I mean, really? When I call customer service about something I'm already irritated because I more than likely called because something was wrong and now I have to deal with a person that I can't understand at all and that can't understand me?!? C'mon, I know all you other people here in the US have experienced this, it pisses you off right? Point is, this is not doing a better job, this is undercutting the price by over half of what anyone in America can do it for because you live in a dirty dirty poor country. And from the work ethic I see out of Indians I can see why it's dirty and poor, you're too busy trying to figure out a way to scam someone for an easy buck to work a field or offer a real service. Now before you Indians all get pissed off and storm the US border with your sticks and rocks let me first say that I'm sure that there are some Indians that do a good job and take pride in their work and actually know what their doing, but let's be honest... the majority give you a bad name. I can promise you that I will never hire an Indian to do anything even if they are cheaper because I know that more than likely the the quality will be well below paar, if it's done at all. The old saying "you get what you pay for" is usually right. Now I know some good programmers here in the states that have made their living doing free lance work, but they have all had to go to work for someone else because they can't compete with the prices these Indians and Chineese are charging. Of course once these people are hired simply because they charge $10 where someone in the states would have to charge $100 the jack ass that hired them will get a $10 product or service which serves them right. (Incidently I do have some work done by some Chineese that do do a decent job, frustrating at times but in the end usually come through.) Anyway, some of you will be mad at me but I can promise you that a lot of Americans here feel the same way. Ok, flame away you flamers!
Well.. first about the telemarketing SEO guys having indian accent: That is just a part of your indophobia SEO is just a small industry full of ameatures acting like pro. Indian SEOs wont take the pain to make International calls to US to market their silly products. It is your neighbourhood SEO expert doing it, or at least he should have hired some indians to do so. Now the other side of the story. I am indian and I do receive tons of SEO spam, making all sort of SEO claims and promise to submit my site to 1000s of searcjh engines. And hey.. they are not from Indian sites. Most of them are based in US with american contact info! In fact most of worlds spam originates from US and SEO spam is no exception. You are free not to hire any indians to do your work, but most American corporates will still continue hiring Indian talent to do their critical jobs. This includes intel, google, M$ and so on. All of them are rapidly increasing the head count at their indian R&D centers. Even Airbus is rapidly increasing the head count at its bangalore R&D center! Of course you wont get top brains to do your $100 work. Pay peanuts and get monkeys, probably you don't like the brown colored ones! The top 3 of Indian IT industry TCS, Infosis and Wipro have a head count of 100,000+ each and are still rapidly growing. And they do get more than 50% of revenue from US, that too doing critical work for top corporates. Do you think it would ever have been possible if they didn't do quality work? The fact is that Indians are good in IT and there is a lot of talent available at 1/4 of the cost in US. Obviously there are crap also, high school dropouts out to make money on net. It is up to you to know the person you are assigning the work. Dont blame a country as whole for your blunders and prejudice.

As I setup to reply to this, I actually got one of those stupid PM's that promised an ebook that would make me $12,361. Duh! Like you'd share that secret with me for any amount of money. Who the F*#K buys this stuff. And now I know the reason for M$ and Vista fiasco. They charge $400 for a $10 product....
Hey, Liked most of your post, but Seo Scam is not an Indian invention. I've been scammed by several American Seo companies. If anyone is considering hiring Seo services do your homework and know what to ask. Regarding programming: In the beginning I hired only American companies. Got terrible service and over paid. Now I hire out to India (or any other country), that provides good service at a good price. The world is now entirely connected, so American programmers will have to compete for my work with the rest of the world. The best service I've received has been from India.
Yeah, the post started out about seo experts in general then just took a rant and rave on Indians lol. I didn't mean to come off like Indians are the only seo scammers out there, that's just sort of where my mind wandered off to lol.
Lol, nice post, I must say this is something that really gets on my nerves here on DP; people offering services for 'great results in the SERPs' when their own site has no PR and an alexa rank of 5 million, and yet in spite of this everyone is fixated on purchasing the service. Another is people offering eBook's on 'How To Make $5000/day' (Do you really think they'd be selling it for $10 if they could actually do this) Even so, I think its a huge generalization to assume that Indians are generally terrible at SEO, (I'm sure there a few out there who knows what they are doing, just not those offering services on DP), and that Indian are the scammers. I have been scammed twice here in the past 2 months and both were Americans.
I apologize to all of the Indians in here, my post was a little rough on them. Sometimes I just tend to get on a rant but I really do have a "hate everyone equally" mentality so I'm sorry that I singled out just Indians here. I've had Americans contact me as well about seo, just not near as many Indians. But this is by phone that I was talking about. Now here in the forums and in general there are a lot of eastern european countries that are into this, thailand, china, and many other dirty litlle poor countries that do the same thing. I know these people are just trying to make a buck off of stupid Americans and I guess as long as stupid Americans keep falling for them they'll keep doing it.
