Help with Stumbleupon

I've heard that Stumbleupon can actually be a means of building backlinks and thought I'd give it a try.

I've stumbled a site. No one has written a review of the site I stumbled (not my own domain btw), but I was just wondering if there is a way to tell how much traffic I sent to that site, or how many others might have stumbled that site after I discovered it?

You should be able to see how many people stumbled it if you login to your account and view your favorites. It should show the site you stumbled and how many reviews. To see how many people click the link, you would have to refer to the destination site's traffic analytics. I don't think stumbleupon shows how many people click on a link.

Thanks, I did see where you can see how many people write reviews on the articles, I was hoping there was a way to see traffic flow as well.

dont get too excited with stumble traffic. they are practically worthless. they come and go, no conversion and high bounce rate. unless you are planning on boosting your site's alexa ranking, i dont see any value in stubmle traffic

You have to "socialize" in order to get traffic from stumble upon. Make friends and socialize with them regularly and they will visit your sites in return.

When you go to the stumbleupon url for that, it will tell you how many people like that page.

Stumble upon traffics is worthless. stumbleupon is use no-follow in anchor so it is not use for link building.

Like everyone else is saying, pretty much worthless... one day you have 1,000 visitors, the next day you have none

Has any webmasters with blogs noticed if stumbleupon users are inclined to join their rss readership?

If you are concentrating just on traffic then such social bookmarking sites are better but they may not help you for SEO or link building ;)
no worries .... if you have great content for your site then traffic from such sites will help you to get returning visitors ;)
