With almost all domains being booked, and its extremely hard to find good domains these days, how long is domain traders who register a domain and sell it for good rate going to survive with this? It is getting extremely hard to find worthy domains these days.

    Whats your point on this?

Those in the business for a long time will surely survive, not only because they have the funds stored up for use, but because they have been doing it so long that they know how to adjust to everything.

The smart, savvy, and plain lucky ones will survive for a long time to come.
Others may not, just as with any other business.

True. And that is how domain traders making money. Will any domain trader be willing to buy a domain at the maximum rate as you say? Anyone will wish to register a domain with reg fee only so that they can see profit. Thats why I asked will domain TRADERS survive for long time. And I didn't ask will domains available for a long time.

i think as the .coms run other extensions will become more valued.

Also number representing letters might be worth something. Domain traders will survive as long as people use the internet. (forever)

If something has value, a trader will try to make money from it

Domain buying & selling will last for many years beyond all of us are dead, so don't worry about it stopping.

How are almost all domains being registered? I bet you I can type in many, many combos in Godaddy & they will be available. You can have names up to 63 characters long if I remember correctly & have a combo of letters, numbers & hyphens not to mention all the different extentions out there. Plus the new extentions that ICANN will release in the future.

Hard to find good domains?

It's pretty easy if you ask me. Look at how many domains are for sale on forums, sites like Sedo, etc. Many great names are for sale!

Yes, indeed, as long as the world sticks around I expect this business will probably be around and well after all of us have become permanently "offline.":) As for alternative tld's, they only accentuate the value of .com rather than become more comparatively valuable themselves because of the .com scarcity, in the same way that the availability of millions upon millions of mass produced art products only accentuate and point to the value of the original masters.

There are plenty of domain flippers that buy domains for $x,xxx and then resell them for $xx,xxx. "domain traders" that register ridiculous domains like "approaching.org" (example) and then come here and hype them as "one word dictionary domains" and try to sell them for $xxx are delusional. that is not domain trading. the market has expanded, thus it takes more money to really get into, but it is still very profitable and i don't see that changing any time soon.
