I was ranking #9 or #10 for a phrase until this morning. Now I don't see my site. I realize google 'dances' but.. it looks like my site got kicked off the dance floor. Any advice? Can anyone take a look at it all for me? Thanks
you need to give much more detailed info on this to get help. how old is the site, what did you do to trigger this change, etc.
Site - maybe two months old. 100 inbound links, but mostly directory sites. If someone knows how to look into this perhaps I can do something to scratch your back too. I checked site:domainnamehere.com and see its still indexed, so its not banned....
This is normal. With new site you at fist get great ranking, then few weeks later you drop very low and start going up slowly.
you did slow submission or instantly submitted to web directories, how many submissions have you done so far
You need to ditch the spammy directory approach. Its not going to work long term, or for anything competitive. Sites bounce around in the serps when they don't have a strong backlink profile. Since your site is young I would forget about it for now and just concentrating on picking up quality links.
I never said it had PR. It was just getting ranked at #9. Yes I guess I just need to get some solid backlinks. I think when they're new they boost to the top but then fall back.. and need support from quality backlinks...
can u pm me your website url and keyword for which you were on first page? i would be able to give reply after that.
If your site is only 2 months old, then you are in the "google sandbox". See the forum section on this. For new sites, go very slow on obtaining links. The faster you get them the sooner you get busted. Get 25 links per month only. Therefore you should go after PR3 or 4 sites that will give you a real SEOable link. Not the junk links you are getting. A link on a PR0 page has no value.
Your website is new, so you are getting this type of trouble. Continously work on off-page optimization.
Backlinks for awhile were the way to boost your PR and get listed fast on Google, but then they figured out that there are link building services. Now the backlink has to be related to your website subject in order for it to help you and not hurt you.
if u log in with Google account and if u try to search in Google u will see different ranking. make sure u are not log ed in any services of google like gmail or orkut
