Which directory script to go for?

    Hi,
    like we have vb for forum script and wp for blogging, which is the best one for directory script. Or are there several good scripts ? pls recommend. also u have any idea how much to pay for it ?

    yes. good avice !
    and it is also free.
    95% of indian directories are buiolded with phpld free version because is free and you don't have to payment.

    My suggestion would be, forget about using someone else's ready-made script. The reason almost all web directories are useless clones of each other is because they use pre-coded scripts.

    FYI we coded our own directory engine. It was a herculean project but it was worth it because now we have a directory which rmanages itself. Nobody else can say that.
