Hi, I just don't get adsense. I read all of the success stories and it all seems so far out of reach. Is there something I'm missing? I just dont know what to do to get it going. Its so depressing.

Adsense is frustrating at times, but every business is frustrating at times. This month, I have had an $18 day and a $2 day. Guess which day really frustrated me! Ultimately, the work I do on my websites stems from my desire for good content and value to my visitors - I need the money that is generated by adsense and affiliate sales to support my work, but it is the personal need to make great websites that keeps me going.

I agree that generating income through Adsense is tough. It's all about traffic volume - you basically have to become an expert at driving traffic to your site.
Hi Marcus, I am like you. I was getting impressions, but very few clicks. Then I was told to check what Avg Posn my ads were showing at. You see, the higher the number the less likely they are to be clicked on because they won't be showing on the first search page. Try and get the Average Position of your ads to be less than 6 if possible, so that you can be sure they will show on the first search page. Regards Patricia

Try and get more traffic mate. The more you get the more $$$ you will make with Adsense. There are loads of clever ways to get traffic. Most of my traffic comes from YouTube believe it or not! I have a video which gets thousands and thousands of views every week and next to the video is a link for my website. You just have to think outside the box sometimes.

you could start by buying sites in the sites for sale subforum here, and find cheap sites which already generate some revenue from adsense and got some traffic, then develop that site to gain more traffic, and you just cut about 50% of your work on adsense. Dont stress! It happens with every publisher, Just be patient the revenue from doesnt come up in flick of a second, months and months have to be spend to start generating good revenue.
