Oh, well as long as they have a nice cozy trial before you kill them how can I possibly object?

Again: The argument to kill them is based on a false premise.
I dont care who wrote the book that says otherwise... be it divinely inscribed on Mohamed's forehead or hoisted aloft to King Arthur by some wet wench living in a pond... homosexuals are not a threat to the existence of humanity. It's a false premise. Hell they arent even a threat to the existence of organized sports.

They do pose a moderate threat to the practice of wearing stripes with plaid, but that I can live with.

Ok, YOU are the one claiming Islam is a "religion of peace". It's not about whether we like it or not, it's that YOUR book of religion, that YOU are claiming is about peace, advocates the death of many people. THAT'S NOT PEACEFUL!

Invalid comparison. Why not compare the number of people killed by Saudi Arabia's government compared to the number killed by some Western government?

The same thing can, and does, happen in America. Probably happens in almost every country in the world, and has little to do with the predominant religion in the area.

    Unfounded supposition.

The same thing can happen in America. Despite what you may have heard or read, robbery, rapes, and murders are still a rare exception, they are not the societal norms. Also, personal experience is argumentatively valid proof of anything. While they may help you justify your beliefs, they should not then be attributed to any large group.

As I mentioned before, homosexuality IS NOT a "threat to the existence of humans." The rate of homosexuality has not changed with any statistical relevance throughout history. The vast majority of people are heterosexual. If homosexuality was a threat, we would see negative population growth...this isn't happening. In fact, the overall population of the Earth is increasing. Even considering the death penalty for an action that harms NO ONE is abominable.

The benefits you mention are all presumed. And I'm guessing those you are murdering don't consider it much of a benefit.

    Homosexuals in Iraq

"The Badr Corps is committed to the ‘sexual cleansing’ of Iraq,“ Ali Hili, a 33-year-old gay Iraqi exile in London who fled to the United Kingdom five months ago, told veteran reporter Doug Ireland. “We believe that the Badr Corps is receiving advice from Iran on how to target gay people.”

a chain is only as strong as its weakest link...

islam is family and moral values oriented life style where modesty and piety and certain rules of "gentlemanly" conduct are essential for a greater good...

its not just about homosexuality being punished...i dont personally agree with the death penalty but lets look at these figures:

-alcohol deaths in USA per year: 85.000 (not including injured/raped/maimed/car accidents ect)
-sexual behaviors: 20.000 (aids/hep/you name it)
-illicit drug use: 17.000 (not including crime/gang violence/ect)

    -----------------------
total: 142.000 deaths EVERY YEAR! (not including many other things)

now saudi arabia does not have this...no drugs no alcohol no decadent conduct and no homosexuality (in the open)...saudi arabia executes anywhere from 50-150 people per year this is murders/rapists/scum included...the USA executed 50...

islam is not just a different religion its a different culture...women are not dressed up in burkas to oppress them, alcohol is not banned to oppress the people and homosexuality is , in this and maybe 2 other islamic countries brutally dealt with , by western standards, but keep in mind the 142.000 people who die every year in the USA because of a "decadent" life style...

sometimes the benefits are greater than the harm...i repeat again islam is a different culture this is not their flaw its their characteristic...some western "decadence" is not the mark of the 20th century for them or most of the world for that matter...not saying they are perfect or better or worse they are just different...

Hmm, thought i put your "America is the cause of all evil" little buns on ignore already ATV... guess I missed it. Correcting now.

How someone drinking themself to death is similar to someone getting dragged to court then jailed and hanged is going to have to remain a mystery to me.

You need to come out of your closet. Al Quaida is not the only Islamic terrorist organization in the world. In India alone, there are plenty of different Islamic terrorist organizations that are thriving. What about the terrorist organizations in other countries around the globe? If you need help, check this out.

sometime with we can talk to achieve peace, but some times we can't.
example: look how the US dropped two atomic bom in japan to achieve peace.

yes, let compare how many people killed by saudi arabia and how many killed by... err US.

    probably...

You obviously don't know shit about animals then. Homosexuality is just as common, Sometimes even more so, in the animal kingdom as it is in humans. In fact, The bonobo express homosexual behavior so frequently that they are thought to be an exclusively bisexual species (and strangely enough the closest related primate to humans).

But then, Even if homosexuality was exclusive to humans, what's it got to do with you? What is it about religion that makes people obsessed with other men's penis'?

if you can explain to me on what grounds you feel entitled to have an opinion on another man's penis and what he does with it i'll start taking you seriously.

I never denied that there are fundamentalist groups in other religions too. But, India has been affected by Islamic terrorism. So, I was talking about it. If Christian fundamentalists had done some damage to India, I'll be talking about them too. At the end of the day, I talk about the things that I come to know of. Clear?

My post was in response to ATV King, who worded his post in such a way that Al Quaida was the only Islamic terrorist organization in this world. So, I had to use that sentence. Hope that explains my stance.

What if they are not straight? Does that give you a right to kill them? Even if it's an abnormality, that doesn't give you the right to kill human beings. What harm do they do?

IMHO homosexuals have as much right as "straight" people. Straight and not straight is just a definition. It means homosexuals are different from straight but it does not mean they are inferior or superior in anyway. Just that they are different.

Some animals are straight, depending on the species, Most can be bisexual. Like i already explained (try reading, You might learn something) the bonobos express homosexual behavior so frequently that they are thought to be an exclusively bisexual species. But then, What another man does with his penis isn't really any of your business and having an opinion on another man's penis is hardly "normal" either.

Can you explain on what grounds you feel entitled to have an opinion on another man's penis? or is this just an excuse to talk about it?

I am not a Muslim but I can see that Islam is a source of great strength for muslins and must lead to tremendous peace of mind for those who understand it well.

As with all religions, Islam is followed by humans, and there are lots of pitfalls to being human. We are subject to emotions like greed, anger, hated, ignorance jealously etc. A religion can only guide a person, ultimately the choices we make are or own.

I’m far from an expert in world history but I think I can say with some confidence that nothing worthwhile was ever produced as a result of anger or hated.
