Someone needs to destroy that site and I have some good reasons. In the beg craigslist used to be great. You can post ads not SPAM but several ads a day in different catagories looking for different things with no real problems. There was no such thing as a account to login to or any lame rules that only the founder himself are aware of. I post maybe 2 ads a day max 1 looking for sex and 1 trying to sell my car. On rare occasions if I'm desperate to sell my car I posted 1 ad in LA one ad in OC since it's close to LA and I wrote the ad totally different. Ever since I did that I was banned from CL and all my new ads have been deleted instantly for the past 2 months. I can't post in newspapers anymore since CL killed all print classifieds and backpage and the other one suck. This has made me very depressed since my life has come to a stand still since CL was a huge part of my life before the Nazi owner decided it to make so many rules that just the way you word your ad can make you banned or bad grammar and spelling. I take it I can't start another account since I'm banned.
Yes, the flaggers and rules are making it difficult. I'm not sure what kind of effect CL has had on local newspapers but it definitely doesn't suck.
It sucks when there system is chaotic and you have no posting privileges and no one can remove them and you can't open another account because your IP is banned. So if i want to ever use them again I have to buy a new computer, change my phone number and move to a different location so my ip changes or call my isp and have them change my ip.
You should be able to change your IP without moving or doing any of the other stuff Dave, at the very least there are services available that cost $5 - $10 a month that should give you just 1 IP if that's all you need. The system isn't chaotic, I do know what you mean though as its more like anyone and everyone can flag you and you get banned for something you didn't do.
You just said it in your last sentence. "anyone and everyone can flag you and you get banned for something you didn't do." A competitor can flag all your ads getting you banned fast. When you read there FAQ section you can only post 1 ad on there entire site every 48 hours. You can't post your resume and look for a date in the same day. I think that's more than strict it's ridiculous.
Yes, I know what you mean. I guess if it's not working for you and you are banned not much you can do. Try and find some other place to use instead.
CL is a monopoly there is no other place. All the other classified sites suck not as much traffic and I never received a response from any other site other than CL>
Well, if there system is chaotic and you are banned because they thought of you as a spammer, why not go back and fight fire with fire? I'm not saying I condone spam But if you need to be posting on CL there are ways to do it.
