Do you think £50000, yes 50 thousand; do you think that is a fair price for a website to be designed and SEO'd?
Depends on what you are using it for, and how you aim on making that money back. If it is a commerical site with a custom storefront i would say yes.
totally depends on who you are and who is doing the work. you see this kind of price for a couple of web pages in the corporate world. and yes a custom store with exactly what you require for a SME then 50k is probably a good price. if you are just a small business or even a one or two man band then you can always look at something like joomla for your site as there is not that much which you cant do with it and it is easily customisable. take a look at what you might get for 50k and then compare spending that on a custom joomla development through joomlancers or similar and you might be left with 45k for advertising which i think is a much better use of money. 45k worth of links and you should be laughing all the way to the top of google
Do you think £50000, yes 50 thousand; do you think that is a fair price for a car? What did you say? You want to know what kind of car I mean? How is that relevant?
Do you think £50000, yes 50 thousand; do you think that is a fair price for a good looking prostitute?
Nothing can be truer Although for $50K she's have to be one damn good sucker...hell Julia Roberts only made $10k for the week she was a hooker in Pretty Woman
You should ask yourself how experienced you are in the field you plan on designating. If you believe that you will be able to generate enough revenue to earn back your investments + healthy revenue, then you will be successful. I just hope your not blindly jumping into this project. Im assuming you're not because you have that much money to spend. Think global; act local. If you are ready to tackle a big project such as this one, you should have much smaller businesses already running on autopilot. Good luck to you!
If you have to ask, that means you don't have enough elements to decide on your own. Which means whoever tells you it's worth that much will try to exploit you to some extent. So my suggestion is you shouldn't buy it. If you can give us more details (domain name, traffic, niche) we can be of more help, otherwise it's hard to say.
Yes in fact $50k is too low for a high quality site i think you should invest more than $500k to make a well designated and SEOed website
Obviously someone, somewhere has received that quote? What was requested? A decent, unique design can cost thousands. Then you add in the development and testing. You can get to $50k no problems.
That's like $90,000 USD. Hell no. There is no site on this PLANET that should cost that much. IF they work for you 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, year around, administrating your site, you are STILL paying way too much. In other words, that's more than a lot of network admins make in corporate settings per year. Unless you are a big wig with HUGE requirements for your site, that is a rip off imo, when you can learn to do all he will do on your own by using that money to fund yourself while you teach yourself and STILL have enough left over for a luxury sedan... A lot of people will disagree, but I guarantee if you shop around you will find freelancers to do it for way less. WAY less.
its a peice of string question to be honest or is there some linkbait coming soon....... is a house worth a million? is a car for 100k? depends, depends depends....... house based on location and a car is based on brand so the sites got to be either bring in cash 5k a month or its a natural typin etc. I have sold a few sites for 20k plus and bought a few for that but you always need development in place
Too many factors and variables to either agree or disagree. The site could have cost $90,000 to build but is it worth that much? That all depends upon the market it's catering to and whether or not the product and or service the site offers will convert that money divested into income producing value.
