How do you tell if a Blog is do follow or no follow?

    Just as it says in the Title... If i come along a blog, how do you tell if its do follow or no follow?

    check the html source to see whether the comment link has 'nofollow' attribute.

    Right-click on the link with your mouse, and select Properties from the menu. Under Link Properties, there will be a Relation=Nofollow (or blank if it is not present).

    Also, if you use Firefox with the SearchStatus extension, it highlights all nofollow links and makes them easy to spot.

    Try to Install SEO Quake tool. This tool is indicate the site is dofollow or nofollow.

    Normally I would suggest the simpler SearchStatus for beginners. SeoQuake is overwhelming to a beginner, and their time is consumed with checking out all of the reports it generates and never getting anything productive done. Until they have a firm grasp on what that data is *really* telling them, there is no need for them to know.

    If you do that remember to check at the start of the page as if they use something like this:

    <META NAME="ROBOTS" CONTENT="NOINDEX, NOFOLLOW">

    the link itself will look like it is dofollow, but it won't be.
