some people may get angry because ıf my answer but there are a few threads which may help you

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1027219
    DMOZ guaranteed listing

    you can check those threads.

or there is another way. just submit to it dmoz but this will mostly not help you. because most of the editors will not approve your listing (if you did not pay to them). dmoz editors get angry when i wrote this but it's the real.

dmoz is consist of volunteers (if you believe that lie). dmoz is consist of (secret paid) editors which are volunteer of money:D

Have you bothered to read the guidelines? Even the the ADD page will give you enough knowledge to know that "SUBMIT ONCE AND FORGET" is about all you can do.

Multiple submissions of the same site does NOTHING but move your site further down the queue. Expecting a response will likely kill you if you plan on holding your breath for the wait... they do NOT let you know one way or the other.

Mr. Jones is correct as far as listening to trichnosis...

I don't mean to sound ignorant, but does a DMOZ listing really pull it's weight anymore?
Is it still an important thing to have for higher SE rankings?

I am a DMOZ editor of the Web Templates category and what people don't understand is there are hundreds of listings waited to be approved and it takes a while to review them all. Paitence is a virtue. I go through about 10 listings a day and it takes about 20 minutes or so as we need to edit the descriptions and everything.

When did you submit it? My estimation is it would probably take about a month to get listed or rejected after submitting it. Even when you submit a link, it doesn't show up on the page to be approved until 2 days later. This is based on the rate my category I edit goes at.

It won't hurt your site to have a link there but it won't do anything for your site either.

I've had many sites listed and delisted over the last 10 years and have seen no effect either way in the last few years. I even had one site with 6 listings delisted and it made no difference whatsoever.

Now, back in the day you would see a benefit but that's just not true anymore.

If you want to quit your job and lay on the couch all day typing then you need a solid marketing plan for your sites. If you sell products then you have to pay for advertising (adsense) if your an affiliate then you need to provide a resource that other sites in your industry will link to.

The competition is fierce, if you want real money you'll need 100's or 1000's of links to compete, at that level trying to get one link from a watery old directory is a pure waste of time.

It's ridiculous to seriously consider dmoz in your marketing plan, people say "submit and forget", I like "forget to submit" better.

In the description, do not use words seen as promoting such as "cool or best". Also, do not use your sites name at all. Make the title your sites official name and thats it. Don't include anything else. So if Google submitted their site the title would be:

    Google

    It wouldn't be

    Google -Free Search Engine

By making the title description correct, it puts less work on us editors and if your site is good, you will have a better chance of getting your site added.
