OH NO...i am trouble after changing my blog name ...

    hi

    well...i didnt liked my blog name that much so changed it to

    http://tech43.blogspot.com/

    i changed the feed urls and all that..re-submitted my blog to google.

    but i am all confused....what will happen to the old links which were indexed in google...and google is not indexing my new changed name blog..

    help me in this ...... aaahh man :(http://tech43.blogspot.com/

    I'm wondering the same question too.. i wanna change my blog name.. but i'm thinking of that question too i might have problems in near future.. good thing i didn't change it yet

    i took a big risk..i had over 50 subscribers...

    but i know ....its fr the good...better do it now then to do it sometime later

    IMHO better not to change the name but if you did it you should wait for google to index you. And the time depends on many factors such as backlinks

    Its like starting a new site. You will have to start again with backlinks and subscribers.

    Not true.

    But you need to 301 redirect all your previous urls to new ones.

    Read official google's best practices on domain moving.

    i havent made a new site..changed the name of it..

    ........
    latest update:

    my site has been indexed in google.but only posts which i have posted after the name change have been indexed.moreover i have requested to delete my previous blog name links indexed in google..

    help !!

    y did you change your blog url in the first place? your new name is not that attractive. better go back to the old. new name and url means, new blog ok? that will not be indexed without any links incoming.

    If you have 301 redirected the old URLs to the new ones, then the old backlinks will still help. PR juice will be transferred to the new URLs.
