I'm wondering the same question too.. i wanna change my blog name.. but i'm thinking of that question too i might have problems in near future.. good thing i didn't change it yet
well best of luck to u too.. i took a big risk..i had over 50 subscribers... but i know ....its fr the good...better do it now then to do it sometime later
IMHO better not to change the name but if you did it you should wait for google to index you. And the time depends on many factors such as backlinks
Not true. But you need to 301 redirect all your previous urls to new ones. Read official google's best practices on domain moving.
i havent made a new site..changed the name of it.. ........ latest update: my site has been indexed in google.but only posts which i have posted after the name change have been indexed.moreover i have requested to delete my previous blog name links indexed in google.. help !!
y did you change your blog url in the first place? your new name is not that attractive. better go back to the old. new name and url means, new blog ok? that will not be indexed without any links incoming.
If you have 301 redirected the old URLs to the new ones, then the old backlinks will still help. PR juice will be transferred to the new URLs.
