.Gov sites are harder to get links on, but not impossible. Normally you must pay or committ a crime that gets you on the FBI's top ten most wanted list. Check out this thread for some edu's. I'm not sure if it still works, but did allow for unlimited .edu links. Also a few other free edu links posted in that thread as well. Have fun
Write a really useful resource for your local .gov site. Then send it to someone involved on the site (a person, not an enquiries email) and bring it to their attention. Ask them if they think it would be useful for the local community.
I think its policy for them not to add commercial sites. I know in the case here in the UK, government sites are not allowed to add generic sites unless they are within the government's domain lists, e.g. schools and academic institutions, local authorities etc.
Hey guies yes this is fact that .gov sites doesn't allow to add commercial sites.. I've tried but they replied me that you may add their link info but according to term and condition they will not add any commercial or private sites... Although there are few .gov sites that will add sites by paying some ammount..
Yes backlinks for .gov sites are very hard. If u want back from .gov sites then your site have related to .gov.
If we put a link code of a .gov site to our website without getting any backlink then it would be helpful to increase your site visibility??????
