You are going to need a higher budger if you want to compete with the many travel portals out there. Lonely Planet isn't just a website, its an entire business reaching over many areas. That is going to cost a lot more than $100 to get started. Otherwise you may make the odd click in AdSense but that will be about it.

I think your domain name is fantastic. Its very brandable and only a 2 word domain. What you need to focus on now is the correct industry keywords to optimize in for this domain. I don't like the domain name. The concept is ok. The "k" in there throws it off. Maybe something like destinationearth.com or travelearth.com or conceptearth.com or thinkearth.com Do you see what I mean? Use "normal" words or you will have hard time succeeding.
hmmm not too big on the domain name - no offense. however think that could be a fun project but you'll need tons of content!
