i found godaddy very bad service for backordering domains

so, i didnt use any backorder other than Godaddy before

so could you please tell me the best and the cheapest one for that
i wait now very very high value expiring domain "follow it from much time "
so i dont need to loose it, and at the same time , i dont have 60 $ for snapnames.com , or going into high pricing auction to pick the domain
i know if this domain going into auction , it's immposible for me to snap it.

what about pool.com, what about unpicked.com, etc....

    Thanks digitalpoint

    I have the same question.
I have only used snapnames, pool and namejet in the past (and successfully), but all those cost at least 60$.
I would like to know what the difference is between them and other cheaper backorder services like godaddy and the one you mention unpicked (never heard of it before).

Anyone used namecaptor.com? It looks like a small operation and they charge $15.99. Anyone had any success with them?

LOL this link is better

I have never had a problem with Godaddys back order service.
In fact one time, out of the blue a domain taster emailed me, saying... I have the dot com version of your dot net domain... He wanted to know if I would be interested in buying it of him. I did a whois and seen it had been registered the day before, so I ignored the email. 6 days later I get another email, saying I could have the domain for the "cheap price" of $500 (maybe more, cant remember) and if I did not respond It would go to auction where it would get 10x that price.. I did another whois and seen the reg info had been updated again the day before. (so I new he was a taster)
So I placed a back order with Godaddy, and 5 days later got an email, saying Your domain is in your account :D

    Cheers
    James

I have tried godaddy several times and never worked for me.

Snapnames is definitely the best backorder service around, the "only" problem is that if you register you have good chances to be involved in auction, and the service costs 60$, but's definitely the best.

Never heard about namecaptor, it seems cheap, anyone tried?

Btw, Pool.com had similar fame than Snap, but lately it has been performing very bad unless you are interested in .ca or .eu domains.

Since my original post I have used Namecaptor and with some success on 4 out of 7 orders. Difficult to judge the level of competition, however, as the domains weren't exceptional (3 of them are .net, 1 .com), although when I posted an appraisal request for one of them, someone replied saying I'd beaten their Godaddy backorder!

Seems it might be quite good for domains you expect a lower return on, given that the price is only $15.99

I tried snapdomains this time, godaddy stole my domain that I back ordered once before as well. I think they are only good if the domain is not valuable.

If you do not have 60 USD for something you call "very high value expiring domain" then you will not own it.
The really good expiring domains are targeted by dozens, maybe hundreds of people worldwide and these people know the value of such domains pretty good and are ready to pay fair price for a good domain.
I remember that once the backorder service I used got a domain I wanted and then the auction started. Up to 500 USD there were like 5 bidders and up to 1200 USD we were two people left. I loosed the auction as I did not go above 1200 USD, even today I would pay probably 2500 USD for that domain if it would be on the market for this price, but I suppose the owner will not sell it under 5000 USD.

My experience with GoDaddy backorder service is not good, they are able to win domains that are owned by domain tasters for few days and then left, which means they just register a free domain for higher price, because if they would have any quality service they would get it before the domain tasters.

I can recommend snapnames.com, I had 2 of 3 succes rate with them in last two months (I did not go for more domains) and namejet.com (that was 1 of 3 in last two months). I used also GoDaddy and Pool.com for the same domains and they had obviously 0 of 3 success rate.

Anyhow if you really want a domain be ready to use several backordering services to increase your chance.

There is no sure shot unless you're using service like pool or snapnames.com.
