Need some help with MySQL size issues

I am on 1and1 hosting and they have a MySQL size limit of 100Mb per database. I have uploaded a php driven "articles" page that is about 165Mb. Is there a way to split the usage between two databases?

I saw where gizmoid had posted a link to a splitter (http://www.madbabble.com/sql-dump-file-splitter) in this thread: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1018565 but his link leads to an error page, and there was nothing at the site that I could find.

Is this the type of item I need, or is there another way of doing this?

All help is greatly appreciated. ;)

hmm, 165mb for only an articles page is quite big, how many articles do you have?

Get a new host. If your website gets big, it's fairly easy to get into the Gb database size. Best idea is to find a host that allows for growth to prevent more/bigger problems in the future.

It's a rather large article page, to be sure. There are numerous categoies with quite a few articles per category. I've deleted a bunch of the articles/categories to make room, but I'm still over the limit.

Funny thing is, is that it doesn't appear to be affecting the page any and my host has not complained.

jestep, I hear you, but I've been with them for several years now and like most everything about them. It's only been recently that I've gotten into the MySQL databases for my marketing/money making ventures.

I'm assuming that there is no software, like the previous dead link is talking about?
