Greetings, Dear experts I am really in need of help. In a couple of days I am going to change my domain name from certcollection.co.cc to certcollection.org. The thing is I am running a forum and I don't want thousands of URLS to give 404 error. Please guide me to redirect from old forum to new forum Example http://certcollection.co.cc/forum/learn-subnetting-in-5-minutes-t-2058.html to http://certcollection.org/forum/learn-subnetting-in-5-minutes-t-2058.html Please also guide where to place the .htaccess file, either in the main directory or the forum directory
use this on your htaccess Redirect 301 / http://certcollection.org/forum/ and put it on your root folder
nimhost thx for the quick reply but as I said I want the old urls to be auto redirected and those URLS should work If I am not wrong this would happen from your code http://certcollection.co.cc/forum/learn-subnetting-in-5-minutes-t-2058.html would redirect to http://certcollection.org/forum/
to make it more simple don't use forum but only domain name instead it's will transfer everything i had use Redirect 301 / http://www.nimhost.com from http://www.nimbrung.com and everything was cleared including the cache on search engine for any file related on my site put the htaccess on http://certcollection.co.cc/ root folder (eg. public_html) and it will note automatically SE spider visiting your old site that you had move your old site to new domain which is http://certcollection.org/

do you using addon manager ? if yes, sorry i don't have any clue because i never experience it before but you can try to search it on google
