Channel Impressions On Same Page Vary Wildly???

Ok so I have three channels on one of my sites and two of them are for placements which appear on every single page of the site.

And yet when I look at channel reporting in the Adsense interface, I find that one of these two channels has up to 15% more impressions than the other one and this equates to around 1000 impressions a day difference.

Is this just inaccurate reporting of channels by Google or could there be some reason my adsense isn't showing? Every time I check the site I see all the adsense units.

The channel that has the most impressions is loaded first as it appears higher in the source code.

Also, the percentage by which the two channels differ has grown since I implemented a new template/design.

    Anyone experience the same thing?

I also have 2 ads on same page that show slightly different impressions. Maybe some ads just fail to register when displayed. Lord knows adsense is not perfect when showing stats.

One more thing, are you using frames on your page?

Every adsense ad has a maximum of 5 links, right? What is the difference when using 1 link and 5 links. Does that increase your earnings? The lesser ads the better the earnings right?

Yeah I figured it must be down to dodgy reporting on Google's side but the variation is so great that I'm no so sure. Oh well, as long as my revenue stays the same then I suppose it doesn't matter too much.

I get something simliar. I have two channels on one page (upper and lower to track hot-spots) and one can be at 79 impressions, the other will be at 15! ON THE SAME PAGE!!!! WTF?

    a little bizzare.

Maybe people are closing your page so fast that the second one doesn't have time to render the ad, thus the channel isn't counted.
