I submitted my site to DMOZ a few months ago and haven't gotten a reply yet. It isn't guaranteed that they will approve your site, but I sure wouldn't mind a simple Email telling me they didn't!

I think the reply from Fathom on the SEO Chat Board said it all.

From what I understand, no one can help you. You submit thats it and forget about it. What goes on from there is at the discretion of their team of volunteer editors. Either they accept or reject you, no one can help except your content of the web site and its relevancy.

It doesnt seem unreasonable to expect a simple reply from the editors?

I believe that some DMOZ editors (hopefully only a minority) are limiting sites in the directory to protect the visibility of their own sites.

Yes it does. There are millions of website owners out there, most of whom think that their website is the most important in the world, and only a few thousand editors. They can either get on with their hobby of building and maintaining a directory or they can get involved in conversations, which often end badly, with folks who think that they deserve priority.

It's all moot in your case anyway. Now that you've offered a bribe, no editor is likely to want to have anything to do with you or your websites.

yes, it's true. dmoz editors are selling links. dmoz editors does not accept this because they do not want to loose money when they sell links. dmoz is a (secret paid) directory

there is an example below . it shows what i mean.

The OP offered to pay for an ODP listing in post #1.
    Hence my comment.

According to the bolded part I quoted I do not think you have properly submitted more then once. In fact, I would wager you have not read the submission guidelines, or even the ADD page for that matter....

And Jim is correct, there is little to no chance of getting a listing now.

I want to believe you but I've volunteered twice to edit tiny categories (3-10 websites) and twice I was rejected. I answered all of the questions honestly and spent some time on website recommendations. Why I was rejected? Seems like they have plenty of volunteers.

We won't discuss individual declined applications. Most are sent an email with a list of common reasons for an application to be declined and sometimes some additional application specific comments as well. If there weren't any of the latter, the reasons were included in the generic list which looks like this.
You should have been able to work out which ones applied in your three cases.

I have worked on submiting my website so many times -for over a year now without success,so I thought it was a problem of lack of editors,I aplied as an editor and was reject after 48 hours of my application(very fast I thought) though they have their reasons for rejacting my application, they promised to approve me if i will correct some mistakes.I hope to be accepting soon so I will help in approving the website that have been correctly submited.I thought their problem is that of not mush editors.

Why are people running to get listed in DMOZ it doesn`t really help a lot, try getting listed in thousands of other directories.

For about 15 websites submitted to DMOZ by me, only 1 (one) get in DMOZ. It was non-English site. So as you see, statistic looking bad.
