Nobody? LOL... no, you have to be *somebody* to get on the FBIs Most Wanted list... and Obama's tight with not one but TWO, Ayres and his wife. I'm sure if Timothy McVeigh had thrown a fundraiser for John McCain it'd be a different tale tho.

But then we have Mr Palin... whom you guys have pointed out was a member of a separitist party at some point. lemme think... one guy went to perfectly legal meetings, another guy bombed the Pentagonm his wife heisted an armored truck, and they spent a decade hiding out from the feds to evade arrest.

Yeah... those sound like a legit trade. LOL

This is still gonna end up becoming a bigger story... hide and watch. Despite the media's desire to enthrone Obama, the American people will nail him for this little lapse of judgment. HHeck, Biden got blown out of the Pres race in 88 just for giving Neil Kinnocks speech over again and failing to attribute it once... I suspect this one will grow legs.

    Great catches, Biz. :)

The first is pan-roasted red grouper, blood orange sauce, basil oil, on a "confit" of winter root vegetables, and caramelized baby bok choy (we bought from local farmers, in the U.P. - doing really, really, good work, courageous to try and grow anything up there, much less anything organically). Like to drink a good Kabinett Riesling with this, viognier, or Loire Valley chenin blanc - the residual sweetness bounces with the blood orange, and there is enough acidity to marry well with the fish.

Second is my variation on a classic Alsacian Onion Tart - puff pastry, standard onion custard, confit of onion poached, reduced and preserved in balsamic, creme fraiche, lamb's ear/arugula/watercress or other peppery/bitter green. Champagne, or good, unoaked chardonnay (not California, but more steely northern U.S., or Chablis from France).

Third is braised lamb shank, flageolet beans. Variation on "gigot à la sept heures," leg of lamb on a seven hour braise. This shank sees 7 hours at about 200, cooled and rested in the jus for several days, then, at service, another 45 minutes - 1 hr of roasting with the reduced, clarified braising jus brushed on every 5 minutes, to build a deep, caramelized glaze. One of the simplest, and one of my favorites, with a peppery syrah or richer, grenache-heavy Rhone wine.

Fourth is pommes anna (paper thin potato slices, arranged in a spiral, cooked), ratatouille, grilled halibut, nicoise olives, fried sage, sauces are red pepper, thyme oil, balsamic glaze. Sauvignon blanc; I prefer Sancerre, though there is a company producing outstanding Sauvignon Blanc, and that is all they do. No connection, but if you can get Sauvignon Republic's Russian River Valley Sauvignon, outstanding.

Perfect calls, Biz - but you better keep it under wraps - Jazz might call you to task! :D

Since you didn't back your answer about what part of my post represented the "deception" you referenced, we'll score you for another empty claim. You may be willing to put a terrorists buddy into the white house, in November we'll see how the voters *with* a clue feel about it.

terrorist buddy? is that a new phrase?
made up phrases for made up issues. All because there is no legitimate issue left for the republicans.
There is a better chance that mccain pushes the button by mistake because of his old age than this guy ever influencing obama on anything.

So all your talk about Palin being so unfit because she associated with people from the separatist movement IS officially horseshit and you merely raised it because you had no real issues to argue. Alright, I understand.

[and still... this will be fun as this develops over the next 60 or so days... and it will.]

There are probably a billion people on this planet with advantages over Obama on real issues. Yes, McCain might not be one of them.

But please stop putting Obama on a pedestal, he can't even answer a basic question on monetary policy, and he can barely get through a speech without a teleprompter. The guy is no George Galloway.

His speechwriter should probably be running for President.

No one is trying to trick anyone to vote for McCain. If you believe the Diebold machines actually count all the votes, I have a bridge to nowhere I would like to sell you.

    sara pailin is a neocon
    she is into oil pipeline
she talked about Georgia and Russia rather than repeating the party line.
she was comfortable in these two points and she did not want to reveal much into her thought on Israel.
now if they are not sure of her answers then they should have been most concerned about question regarding russia/georgis. but she seemed very hawkish on those issues and exerted herself. very hawkish. also on the oil and energy in general she was forceful. seems she wants to take control of this issue. If it looks like a duck and sounds like a duck then probably it is a duck.
If you look at, it they are not dead. They are just waiting in chaney's office. If Mccain wins they will find a safe haven with pailin. They are just going to linger around quietly. They are going to be in a position to exert influence and go at it for another 4 years. There is nothing Obama can do that compares to the damage that these people will do given a chance.
i don't think she even has a church. this seems to be a double decoy con on the country.

Today's news is proof positive that the platform that McCain/Palin is running on, and his belief that the economy is sound proves the he, and his buddy George Bush have been asleep at the switch while their "hands off" attitude of Government is collapsing our financial institutions.

There is none and has not been any regulation for any of the woes we are currently experiencing.
Where has the S.E.C. been ?
Companies are walking around with AAA credit ratings up until days before collapse.

Shearson Leman Bros., bankrupt after 150 years. Merryl Lynch sold to Bank of America. Freddie and Fannie stuck to the tune of 6 trillion dollars in bad paper.

Where the hell has Washington been for the last 8 years?
Those 2 alone account for more than 75,000 people on the street and counting. (Add that to the other 60,000)

If this is McCains platform of "hands off " Government...it's destroying us. Wall street has been allowed to run amuck and basically rape and pillage the country, and now we all have to pay for it.

This is the attitude of Republicans? No regulation ? Does anyone see where we are ?

They knew there was a problem and nobody did anything. The S.E.C. admits that lack of regulation has tied their hands.

Who do you think voted for this lack of regulation, because the very same companies that complained regulations tied their hands and prevented them from expanding...got their way, and they took that lack of regulation and padded their pockets and left the American public holding the bag.

McCain is clearly Anti Union. Anti Regulation. Anti Workers rights. Anti Government Programs.
And you people want to give them the reins to finish us off ? Because he is a Veteran ?

If you are all doing fine, and making 5 million a year, you could probably give a damn, but I suspect most of you are not, yet you blindly keep walking into the same wall over and over again ? Why ?

    Are you all nuts?

Can anyone give me an answer of how all of a sudden, after voting 90% with bush over the last 8 years...the 8 years that raped this country financially, all of a sudden it will be different ?

The man running his economic platform called us a "country of whiners", and that we are in a "mental recession". He is still running McCains economic platform, yet all you supporters, who I suspect are feeling some financial woes still keep believing in the dream. That is all it is, a dream. It's not for you..you didn't contribute 10 million to his campaign.

His campaign is run by lobbyist people ! LOBBYIST ! All of them !

How can anyone not see this, it's right in front of your face!

If you don't see it, then turn on the T.V. to any station you want that has news.

Can you spew more incoherent gibberish about the people running? There is plenty to complain about Palin and you seem to not have a clue about any of it and instead rant about nonsense.

If you think you are helping Obama with your nonsense posts you are sadly mistaken.

p.s. Sentences start with a capital letter and end in a period.

A bad thing for Obama. Galloway has an incredible wit and is a super skilled orator. If you've heard George's radio show, he has to handle the worst hecklers that call in, Obama can barely read from a teleprompter, and all of his dialogue is scripted.

You give me a 30 minute unscripted interview with Obama, and no one who watches it will vote for him. I could do the same for McCain, but I am scared he would choke me to death with his Frankenstein arms.

Well, he is a leftist and a bit of a marxist. He may be foolish, but he's no one's fool.

That has nothing to do with what I wrote about.

Why vote for Obama, when you can't make a principled defense of him or his positions, but only because you hate McCain so much?

And I'm tired of people picking on Sarah. As Tucker Carlson said backstage at the Rally for the Republic, this is a woman who has caught a 30 lb. Sockeye Salmon. As a sportsman (I am not a sportsman), I love her. That's all there is to it.

Since Sarah is pro-secession, that's all I need to know. I don't care about her daughter, her religion, whatever. Obviously, she is an amazing selection by the dead like a cadaver McCain campaign, because he's starting to wipe Obama out in the polls, and I think the blue hairs vote McCain-Palin before the youth (who traditionally do not turn up to vote) show for Obama. Not that it matters, because the GOP are experts at stealing elections, and they will probably steal this one as well.

The big mistake the left are doing, is attacking Palin personally. When people did this to Ron Paul, folks rallied to him. When people attacked Clinton personally, people rallied to her. It is a big tactical mistake for people to attack Palin's home life, her religion etc. Some people have made strong assaults on her record, which is justified, but it is buried in all of this other animosity, and gets overlooked.

Do as you will, you're just making McCain-Palin stronger. Instead of campaigning AGAINST McCain, campaign FOR Obama or you're going to lose.

I agree on your take of going against Palin personally, going against her for her policy decisions, what she has done or not done in government though I do not see as a bad thing.

I'm honestly shocked that you like her 'it appears you do' to me she is nothing more than a whiny little _____ who cries when she does not get her way, fires those who do not agree with her, stays out of the heated end of debates, all the while being an extreme hypocrite.

People appear to be rallying around her based mostly off of lies and misperceptions IMHO.

I agree with most of what you wrote - except for your reasons for your love of Palin.

One question, I thought Palin had disavowed any connection to the secession movement. Are you sure about her position on that?
