    Thanks for sharing proximity, reps added. I am starting my own forum early next month. Here are a few more.

    1. Get a great domain name. Find one that's catchy and evokes enough curiosity for people to click through.
    2. Join other forums related to your niche and see what your competitors are doing. There is ALWAYS a better idea of doing things, no matter how good they may be at the moment.
    3. Submit articles to other forums on your particular niche..these attract attention of members just like bees are to honey.
    4. Offer incentives to post if you cannot afford to pay paid posters. These would include discount codes, digital software or anything you can think of that won't cost a fortune and burn a hole in your pocket.
