All the talk seems to be about the US presidential race, but here in Canada our federal government is having a election too.

Yep, conservative probably is going to win but just a minority again I think.

Hopefully, not though. Harpers got to go.

If the Tories called in the election to improve their representation they must be confident they'll do well. I guess they have good information, otherwise they'd have kept on with their minority (but own) government.

I like that Canada has a shorter election Process. Candidates in the US should not be able to run until August with the primaries all being held on the same day. Both party conventions should be held the following weekend and that will give roughly two months to campaign.

Well in Canada the election process is shorter (36-38 days generally) we have a lot more parties fighting over people's votes. The green party did make a stir this year getting into the televised debate (which is a really big event here in Canada) so it should be interesting.

Current Major Parties of Canada that are expected to get some seats...
    Conservatives
    Liberals
    New Democratic Party (NDP)
    Green Party
    Block Quebecois

Well, doesn't necessary think that they can get a majority that they dissolve parliament.

It could be just the fact that they think they might not do as well as later. Or that they will get more mp in the house than right now, but chances I think is still a minority and majority of the people would agree with me on this right now, but of course it can go either way. Either Conservatives get a Majority or Liberals a miniority.

NDP, Green Party and Bloc quebec don't have much of a shot this coming elections although they still got the potential to get more seats.

I don't think anyone really cares too much. With only about 245 people in the whole country, everyone is bound to know the two individuals on a personal level already. ;)
