List of Google Penalties

Does anyone have a list of the Google Penalties or a link to it?

Is there really a penalty-30, penalty-90, etc.?

I like to refer to this website http://www.vaughns-1-pagers.com/internet/google-ranking-factors.htm at the bottom is a line that states an apparent -30, -350 and -950 exists. This page is certainly very informative but be aware that is maintained by just one SEO'er. So what you see is only on his word - although he does provide references to the google patent and forum discussions for some of the things he lists.

 

I've seen that one before, but I'm not to fond of it... not so much the accuracy just the layout itself. For someone who follows current SEO trends you think his own web pages could be optimized better for SEO and user accessibility.

 

ha, good point actually.. but still some valid points remain in the document, thats all that matters to me.

I think there is a -800 one and its not a good place.

 

Thats my motto, if they don't practice what they preach they have no clue what they are writing about.

 

yea I have also read about these penalties..Also these days Google penalize you for link sales..

Outgoing links to illegal, contraband, etc sites.
Outgoing links to poor quality.
Spam links coming in, especially from .info domains.
Onpage keyword spam (not very noticable)
Hidden text (not currently penalized much)

 

He's asking for the actual penalties dealt out. Not what causes the penalties/

 

WMW people do spend good time in discussing such things as I have never found discussion of such topics in any other forum, that's why probably they stand out from all other seo forums.

@OP - Please search WMW as the link given is not of the actual penalties thread, there are few huge once on -30 , -900 etc

no such official list exists to my knowledge. All penalties have been discovered through observation and experimentation as far as I know.

 

This is true, there is no official list of any penalties that exist..since the result of an illegal action is to be banned in a particular SE..

 

Yea..just stop all illegal activities on your site because if google detects any wrong practice it may even kill your rankings which could make a real difference. So always read google terms before doing any experiment on site!

i agreed with the penalty -30 and -60 in that case if google found your site in not in the criteria and as per the webmaster guideline and u are doing wrong with google then google can panlize ur site either -30 or -60 in that case ur site will be shown on -30 position from ur actuall position e.g. if ur site is shown in 6th position with one of the keyword ur site will be shown on 36 or 66 number.

 

There is only one penalty and it is a full site ban!

Everything else is a "Filter".

It escapes me how people can comment on something when they have no clue what the heck they are talking about.

This apparent lack of understanding only indicates most are hurting themselves by reading further misinformation passed about by webmasters ranking for terms with little to no real SEO competition.

Please if you have no clue what you are speaking of DO NOT GIVE ADVICE!
