I agree with you to an extent, but you do mention that 'and' is not a competitive key word; it is, it is searched 338,000,000 according to google's tool:

Search results isn't an indication of keyword copetition, but it does give a a general outline (although there a some exceptions and its not always right)

 

its jus bout the relevant pages come in their mind they show it as an estimated result.
and 70% are of them just useless and irrelevant for sure.

In reality, it is the size of the databases' index size. No computer can count records that fast and display the answer in the time G gives you the SERPs.

The style of content layout is bad, like a bad sales letter.

 

Search results are a very small factor in keyword research.

 

This fact is known to true seos but here in DP I found several guys talking about this number as the real competition. In fact, my site comes first result for keywords I never optimized for and there are a million other sites coming up too. That doesn't mean that I am competing with any of those sites. And you knowing this now only is a shame!

 

how can you find this number, which keyword?
