Which is better? blogspot or wordpress?

Hi all

Can anyone tell which one of blogspot and worpress is better in terms of google page rankings and search engine optimisation?

Does google give any preference to blogspot blogs since its their own platform??

 

wp is very easy to use as compare to blogspot, and it has search engine friendly environment, u can do SEO by using plugins.

On the other hand blogspot not supports plugins and themes like wordpress (in blogspot u can use themes but not like wp)

depends what you mean .... as in wordpress.com or .org ? basically do you mean as a free Blog Host ?

Wordpress is good because of the tags and free traffic - how ever you can't monetize a hosted wordpress blog and blogs are more likely to be deleted .... I don't know about you guys - but a blog to me is for advertising my other sites and building links etc. and wordpress is strict on this.

Blogspot is good because you will never get deleted and you can monetize your blogs, but harder to gain traffic ....

If you want a blog to discuss personal life and have no links to your site - then wordpress is for you, if you want to add links and promote your site, and make cash - then blogspot is better.

 

If you want to monetize the blog choose Blogspot, otherwise Wordpress will bring in more traffic.

Since the free blogs are on a sub-domain, the PR of those root domains has no bearing. When you start a blog with either service, you start from scratch.

 

Bring in traffic for what ? I don't see the point in getting traffic if it can never be monetized, you can't even have your own links to your sites within the posts or on the templates .... or you'll get deleted for spam ....

 

If you want to have a blog that you will host in your server/webspace then Wordpress is the best way to go.
Blogger is good if you don't want to spend a cent with hosting.

Yes exactly. If you host your own WP blog its very very powerful.

 

i think wordpress has a better blogging community

but no ads on wordpress...
