I want to buy pr3-4 domains and I have some offerts from people.

Then check it in siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com and there are few or zero backlinks.

It is good to buy it?

The PR is probably faked. I'd avoid these domains, or at least not pay for them based on PR.

    Hi,
You should try also Google backlinks and so on, don't based on Yahoo! only.

    instead of linkdomain:yoursite.com
    /

You can 301 redirect your domain to a high PR domain. Eventually your domain will show the PR of the other domain. Then you can cancel the redirect and your domain looks normal, but with high PR.

There are probably other ways too, you never know what scammers can come up with!

Edit: here is a step by step guide:

First, you are wasting your money (and time) when buying domains with PageRank, as they are worth nothing but the value of the domain name itself (and the traffic it receives - if you know what to do with it).

But anyway, when buying PR-domains you should always base your price on the backlinks and not the PR itself (using yahoo.com).

No, never consider Google as a source to check backlinks. They only show about 0.1 % of the backlinks. Always use yahoo.com.

Well, it is still a waste of money.

Where the heck did you come up with the logic that Yahoo Backlinks = Google Pagerank?

I didn't say that Yahoo Backlinks = Google Pagerank.
But that the only thing that matters is the backlinks, not the pagerank (if the purpose is to rank high in Google - which I suppose it is).

This is basic SEO which I don't even want to discuss...

I wasn't responding to you, I'm asking the OP as he seems to think this is the case.

its not good maybe its a fake PR domain.
PR will fade off if you don't have content and backlink
