Both are good. In short, the advantage of Article marketing is that it's free and brings the same results as PPC. However, PPC is better because you can expect quicker results, but you have to pay for the clicks. It's the same, if you would ask, which is better Coca-Cola or Fanta? People like both, so the same thing here.
Bum marketing is good for the long term investment while PPC is for a quick turn around. One is free and requires a little bit more work while the other one is not free, requires less work, but requires more experience.
PPC is for faster results and u must have some experience if u want to make money doing ppc with affiliate marketing, article marketing is slow process but free.
Hey bl4ckman, how many hits would an average article bring you in say one month? Maybe outsourcing the article writing would work out more cost effective if you're getting more hits for your money than with PPC, what do you think?
I can't say any exact numbers, because it all depends on how well the article is written, which is your position in search engines and how often the keyword gets searched. P.S. primeelite, perfectly said everything
Yes PPC is faster, but I would have to disagree that it would equate to the same cost as outsourcing article writing. For example, a decent 500 word article will cost you around $3 if you know the right people, and over several months it could generate more than 100 clicks. Now, with PPC you're not paying 3 cents per click are you? But I guess the main point stands, PPC is for instant results, article marketing is for long term results.
That's true to some extent, however don't forget that time is money, If you make money fast, you will be able to scale faster, invest some of the earned money, to earn more.
So you saying that they are equal in the amount of clicks both would get. PPC would have faster results with amount of clicks and articles will meet the amount of clicks that PPC gets after a certain amount of time
True.. but you want to make money fast... And PPC makes fast money(when done correctly) Would you want to make the same amount of money in 7 days.. or in 30 day?
with ppc, dependent on your budget, you can generate 100's, even 1000's of clicks in a day ... i'm yet to hear of an article generating that amount of clicks consistently every day .... (anyone correct me if i'm wrong though) the catch is, you have to make those clicks work for you ... with articles, it doesn't matter so much if someone visitst your site and doesn't buy ... with ppc, it matters because you have paid for them to go there ... ppc does require work though, you HAVE to monitor very carefully, otherwise it'll drive you broke
Ripped, after making money payment for PPC is needed, it's given back, a little bit or a lot. I also read that most articles are good for some clicks thought and their value for clicks lower. antantnz, PPC gets keywords instantly, no concern for indexing, SEO, article marketing, publishing. Articles take up time to not just type but be typed effectively.
teapoint, sometimes those clicks get to be $1.00 or more per click. That goes towards keyword research for long tails or non saturated keywords for less expensive keywords and that takes time, some say the time to type a quality, SEO and publishable article.
Quick question, are there any other article directories that include the title in the article's link like ezinearticles.com? Edit: there are directories like that and I recommend them for the extra indexing.
PPC is better because you can track your work and extract the results of the test faster which give you some fast experience.
Thinking about this a bit more, if the quality of the traffic is roughly equal between PPC and article marketing, I would definately not buy PPC ads to the pages I'm currently promoting via article marketing, and I don't think many other people would buy PPC ads to Squidoo pages either. With PPC I'd want to build a kick-ass landing page that's going to convert, whereas with my article marketing efforts I didn't really put that much thought into my landing pages, other than that they review certain products and highlight my reccomendation to the user.
