Russia Beware. A US Navy warship has arrived in the Georgian port of Poti

The question is, would NATO & Japan countries join US, if the US decides to attack Russia? NATO has a defensive obligations, but offensive? A big question.

The problem is, the US still sees Russia as a weak country of the 1991 after USSR collapse. Its 17 years past, I assure you it wont be easy to capture Russia and it never was as history shows it all (even at times when the country was weak).

 

Even though the US is still much stronger than Russia in pretty much every way except for energy, the US is not going to attack Russia. That would just be stupid. A US/Russia war would be hard to contain, it could get really out of hand really fast. The US and Russia did this sort of posturing all throughout the 40 or 50 years of the cold war. They'll send troops somewhere and we'll send a warship somewhere else, it's just a sort of elaborate dick measuring contest.

THE United States defeats Russia again.

Russian soldiers and armored vehicles rolled out of six checkpoints and temporary bases in the Black Sea port of Poti and other areas nearby, Georgian Security Council chief Alexander Lomaia said.

"The United States presence in the Black Sea made it clear that the US were going to drive Russia from Georgia."

"Russian forces have withdrawn completely from Poti,"

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Andrei Nesterenko confirmed the withdrawal.

You see the very little things about the Russians, but the major things like killing women and children together with militants in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Pakistan you don't say even one word.

This thread on politics is slowly turning into direct discrimination thread against Russian/American people. When intelligent people have civilised arguments on various foreign policies of one particular country for example, they don't say they hate the people of that country; they say they disagree with their government. Whether some individuals posting here are not too bright, too childish or simply plain neo nazis; I found some of the comments absolutely sickening. Eg.

You have had a negative experience with one Russian person and now you are speaking like Hitler would speak of Jews. Do you know that over 70 million people died during world war 2 trying to save the world fro Nazis (Half a million of those were Americans) and you are here 60+ years later saying that you hate Russians and by the sounds of it have already taken first step towards genocide.

Do you know how many American troops are diyng in Iraq after trying to save us from Saddam who found a particular race (Kurds) a threat and decided to wipe them? Obviously you are just a kid but if you were slightly older and had more power...

I wonder why there are so many neo nazis in Russa? Why the Russians support ethnic cleansing in places like Kosovo and Georgia.

Clearly countries such as Moldava, Ukraine, Poland and the Baltic countries at at risk.

Japan will back the US.

At the least UK and the new NATO countries will back the US. Germany may joun if promissed the return of East Prussia.

 

Germany seems to be in a particularly difficult situation because of its dependence on Russian energy.

You are twisting my post. I was having a go at some of the comments people leave here rather than the Nazi problem in general. Besides, Baltic Estonia is the country that supports Nazis. Google it. They even have an annual Nazi parade.

While you are at it Google what former Georgian president said about whiping all Osetians with Georgian broom. Its a fact.
