Hi, I am into affiliate marketing for sometime now. I do want to place my site in Google adwords. But I am afraid i may end up losing money. Is there anybody who is successful and is earning handful of money? Please share your experiences so that I can have an idea about that. Thanks
You should expect to lose money at first. Trying out different ideas until you find something really profitable is normal, consider it the cost of doing business. Make sure to target an audience that is appropriate for the offer, and make sure you track. Test, test, test, and test some more until you create the most optimized and profitable campaign.
You will probably loss your money in the beginning before you fine tune your campaign. Adwords is all about testing,from your landing page conversion rate to your ads CTR,getting up your QS and decreasing your CPC over time. If you really want to promote through adwords then I would advise you that you first learn a bit about adwords because otherwise you will lose your money.

You know that I manage 250k/month in adwords campaigns right now, and STILL have alot to learn. There's alot of different variables to the adwords game, and in order to learn it, it takes alot more then just doing some research, it takes doing it. I'd love to know what your gross spending is compared to your ROI, for jumping out of the gate and making a killing. I'm sorry its just a little hard to believe.
Anyway what product or services do you offer ? Not every product/ services are suitable to promote online. I know a boss make big business through adwords program. He spend more on adwords now than before.

Well in my personal experience in just about a week of using Adwords, I made a loss of around $20 on the first day but since then, I've been making a few dollars profit every day The whole thing is about testing your keywords, landing pages and making them better. I do that every day and small changes make a big difference. Good Luck!
If you can at least break even with it your on a winner... anything measurable can be improved to be profitable. Pick the right market... I make most of my money from adwords... however, i sell a service not an affiliate product.
How much did each of you read before entering adwords at all? and i dont mean ebooks. Before doing something il generally read tons, watch any official vids (as GA have kindly put together for us) generally brainwash myself over a number of weeks before touching something. From reading the forum it appears that its not till you begin actually using adwords that you can slowly begin to get a feel for it, but at the same time i think someone will usually lose money if they decide to. Failure to plan and all that... I think thats what cah scare people off, trying it, losing then becoming bitter, but the learning and preparation of anything (i personally feel) is 90% of the job.
