datacenter is Amstel Business Park which is about 10 miles from the airport and within walking distance to amsterdam's business centers. we can do basic security setup. I.E security/hardening. If you buy cPanel with it, we can basically manage it for you as we secure it and harden it for you. W/o cPanel we can still secure and harden, but most of our team is/are familiar with cPanel securities. sorry guys but for munich Germany I am out of the dual cores. I only have 1 pentium 4 left. for netherlands i still have a couple more left of both servers.
Im interested in the above package however cPanel will be very expensive for me as I will use this server for personal only and not meant to be offered to public. Do you have any free control panel where you can still harden and manage security? say webmin or lxadmin? Also is this protected against DDOS attack? Do you have a website where I can log tickets if I have problems with security?
yea, like I said we can install directadmin for you (ill see if i can do it for free, its only $5) and install security fixes. DDOS really depends on the attack. If its bigger than a 1GBP incoming then we have to null, otherwise you should be fine. If its for personal use, i really don't see you running into these sort of problems you can submit tickets 24/7 through our support system vpsrus.com/support
Thanks. I purchased an offshore server before, it was also for my personal use only, was DDOSed and my previous host support is terrible. He wasn't able to counter-attack the DDOS and my site was intermittent for the first 12 hours and then down for the next 24 hours. Just want to avoid the same situation happening again. Let me know if you can do away with the $5 a month for DA. Thanks
