    Hi Guys

I need soemthing like this set up

    http://www.nestoria.co.uk/chingford/property/buy

I dont want it for property for the benefit of this say I need it for a coffee shop map!

Is this something that can be simply set up or would I need to hire someone? What would they charge and once done could I maintain it myself.

I would want the coffee shop down the side like this and it position marked on the map.

    Thanks

    James

James, This is very doable with the right tools. It involves some html knowledge which is often available on the web. It depends too on how much time you have to devote to it. Do you need the active links? What would you be putting on the side? Would it be a map or a picture of your establishment?

    Hi Norma

    sorry for the late reply.

I would mainly be interested in putting the map up with the locations of what I want to be on the map. I would also like the company name and address on the side but to start with feel this may be to hard.

There was also another property site I had, it was a lot better than this one but when my PC died I lost all my links. I wish i could find it.

Does that mean you want the locations active. I don't know how to do that but it can probably be worked out OK.

Do you still have the host on which the other site was listed? When I have had my site wiped out for some or another the host had it saved. It might not be exactly the last copy but you should always do a back-up of your site.

A developer has put a lot of time into the site you have provided. This is not an easy thing to do for a non programmer and you would need more than html under your belt.

You'd need PHP aswell as Google Maps. And that's a pretty big site.
Budget wise, i've known professional companies (not backroom programmers) to charge upto £40,000 for something like that. Or i should say, a corporation i worked for paid £40,000 for something like that.
