My first attempt at Wordpress

    Not only is this my first time doing anything with wordpress, but this is my first time building any kind of a website from scratch! I am completely new to all of it! But this is what I was able to do all on my own.

    I did ask questions to others as I was doing it. And I've had lots of advice from people along the way.

    But WP is so user-friendly that it can even make a total dummy like me look good! :D:cool:

    PLEASE let me know if there is anything that you think I should add to improve it!

    I personally prefer blogspot over wordpress. I maintain a blog which is on wordpress only. But I think blgspot is more user friendly. Though i like the themes of wordpress they have lot of variety.

    The site is well designed the only suggestion I would make is...
    I think you should change the color of your adsense ad to make
    it blend in with the theme of your site.

    Nope. The header came with the theme. http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/decolor

    What color ad are you seeing? The one I see matches pretty well, if I do say so myself... :confused:

    The best part of Wordpress is the plugins. You can do almost anything if you use them. I always use one for a contact form, analytics, Defensio for spam control, and more.

    Nice work! I'm a huge fan too.

    Good first attempt buffalo. Personally, I would get rid of the top graphic to make all the content more above the fold. Perhaps also get a custom logo done for the blog. Play around with it a bit.

    Nice design, I agree with dcristo the the content needs to be higher up. Try removing the border on the social bookmarking buttons.

    Wow, thats pretty sick for being a blogging newbie. The layout and colors seem to flow together. It appears your not good with setting up WP, but did you make the layout yourself? Or is this a custom layout you found on a WP theme site?
