John McCain does not represent the average American!

I don't understand why poor or middle class Americans would vote for somebody who doesn't understand what it's like to be "average". According to some sources, McCain is personally worth about $40 million dollars and his wife is worth an estimated $250 million!! He also owns 7 properties that are worth millions of dollars! And can you believe that there are people out there who are living on a budget that are supporting him? Even if gas prices went up to $25 a gallon it probably wouldn't effect him one single bit!

Obama doesn't understand either. He spent $500,000 recently to re-haul his private jet. In the process, he removed all American flags off it. That's some politician.

It''s money from the Democratic National Committee. It's not personal funds.

Neither of them have any idea what "average is" but then again I wouldn't want average for president. McCain did not get to be worth 40mill buy being dumb. I guess you would be happier with a president that is not successful.

I'm a little more concerned with what Obama has to say about those of modest means when their back is turned... like these unscripted remarks to a group in San Francisco:

They cling to God? To guns? Well if he has a problem with their religious freedom or right to bear arms he's probably in the wrong biz, as there is this thing called "The Bill of Rights". Maybe he was asleep in that day of law class.

As for "antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment"... try and find an interpretation where he didnt just call 'em "racists". He has a real high opinion of the people whose votes he seeks. He of course said this in San Francisco, not to small town midwesterners face to face. [Gotta feeling that wasnt meant for publication. Oops.]

How do YOU feel about people that talk down about you behind your back? [Yeah, me too.]

McCain got to be worth 40mill by dumping his wife and marrying a rich drug-addicted heiress. Maybe that's not "dumb" but it isn't exactly proof of brilliance, loyalty, or achievement either.

I think McCain represents the average American. He loves his country, he loves human life, he has spent his entire life serving the citizens of the United States of America.

Why would you vote for an average man?
So you think you can run for presidency because you're an average man?
Why would they be in there in the first place if they're just average men.

I can guarantee you that everyone that responded to this post is making far less than $100,000 a year. If you're not rich then don't vote for a rich person's candidate. Obama is all about affordable health care and education for "average" Americans. I'm sure he has other plans that will greatly benefit people who aren't making outrageous amounts of money. McCain will probably say anything right now to get the average person's vote but in reality he's really about making the rich people even richer.

Obama is all about taking money from those workers that are successful in their careers and giving it to people that are unsuccessful. Those of us that work are tired of paying for those of you that don't.

Hell, I could be bitching and whining right now if I had stayed with my teaching career. I went back to school and now I am a programmer. Smart move on my part. If you don't like your present level of income, it's time for YOU and not GEORGE BUSH to do something about it. But we all like to play the victim, don't we?

I have always thought that it was unfair to label Bush as the Rich Man's President, or with the popular idea that Bush is making the rich even richer. I think what makes a rich man richer is that the rich man works. If you start your career making 25K per year and you are still making 25K after five years, you are not very good at your job.

The top 1% of the US population paid 27.6% of all US taxes including 38.8% of federal income taxes in 2005 and it has gone up every year since. Source

The top 10% paid over 70% and the bottom 50% only paid 3.1%!!!Source

If you want to earn more money get your ass to work and stop blaming George Bush! If you are working then find a better job and quit blaming Geroge Bush for all your troubles!

AND QUIT LOOKING FOR HANDOUTS FROM THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT!!!

Do you honestly think that Obama is a poor man? McCain is a rich guy, he married a rich woman. There's no denying that. But both of the candidates have plenty of money and aren't truly hurting like many Americans are right now.

I think you need to do a little more research about what the candidates REALLY stand for. Rich people are not really going to want to vote for Obama, since he wants to take half their money away to pay for the healthcare and education for everyone else.

Now I'm not rich by any means, but I would much rather do for myself then have the government do for me. And, at the risk of sounding like Guerilla here, there is no where in the Constitution or Bill of Rights that guarantees each and every American the right to free healthcare and education. That's not what the government was set up for. I wouldn't (nor do I think ANY person in their right mind) put the government in complete, full control of my finances because they SUCK at money management, so why would I want them to control my healthcare?

It is my job to take care of me and my family, not anybody elses....

And I totally admire McCain's American spirit. He was tortured and held prisoner for our country. Huge sacrifice in my eyes....

John Mcsame and failin would support adding georgia to NATO. they want to corner the US and Europe into a war with Russia
just imagine if they had succeeded before, we already would have started a draft and her son would be on the way to Georgia to fight the Russians

feminists need to look at the situation as it is, not as they want it to be. She might be a woman but she will destroy everything that they have worked for so hard. she is like Clarence thomas

I wonder the sanity of people without a pot to piss in trying to save the rich from the evils of fair tax.

Well, I do have to admit that you guys do have some interesting perspectives that I wasn't thinking about when I made this post. I'm currently not that successful but maybe I will be in the future. I also don't agree with taxing successful people with a higher percentage all because they earn more. I believe "all" people should pay the same percentage in taxes.

why is that they use the resources of the country at a higher rate. and believe me you will never be a rich guy. the chances of any of us accumulating our first few millions is astronomically low. This is how they get foolish people to support their tax cuts.
Unless Failin can tell us how did they make their 9 million dollar.

Can you elaborate on your comment about the feminists? What does she want to destroy?

And as far as your poor trying to save the rich comment, why should we punish people that went out and got an education, knowledge, specialized training, etc. for those who did not? How about instead of forcing the rich like Bill Gates to pay for some people who want a handout at every corner, we aspire to be like them instead. I know I'm sure as hell going to work 4 times as hard to build my wealth when I have no one paying for my ass but me. But, if the government is going to hand me everything, where is the incentive to work, grow, save????

Why do you think paying the share of your taxes is a punishment?
people have used the resources of the country to gain their advantages. They should also pay more so other people get the same advantages and better themselves. What is wrong with that.
the next supreme court judge can shift the balance, and effect a lot of things and a lot of them directly impacts women's life.
i am sure there are other examples here that you can look it up. equal pay equal work and sexual harassment laws might come under assault. She is no hillary clinton.
i do not think there is no abortion clinic in Kansas. can you imagine going back to the backroom abortions. I bet you are too young to know what i am talking about.

First of all Pizzaman, why do you look at things so negatively? You have no idea who I am so I don't think you can say that "anybody" here will never become wealthy and successful. My much older half brother is worth millions of dollars and has a $750,000 bus that he drives all around the country. He didn't make a lot of money until he was 45 years old. With the right ideas and persistance you will eventually become successful. But if you think you will never be successful then you never will be.

Success is out there. We just need to go get it!

    negatively or realistically.
he wants to increase the taxes for 5% of people and has a larger tax break for 95% people. you can always win the lotto but that do not mean shit.
if you think your brother with a 750,000 bus is rich you should look at leona helmsley that just died a while back. she left 10 million dollars to her cat.
your brother is less than the cat lol
rootorooter the same both will get a bigger tax break from Obama
